We spent two nights here and it was an amazing view! Rosy and Erliss were fantastic hosts and the breakfast was tasty and beautifully laid out. Sitting in the living room or on the several decks you have a perfect sweeping view of the spit and the ocean. The terraced decks were just the most relaxing sitting areas. We even... More

Rosie and Erl are the perfect hosts. They made our visit to Alaska even more enjoyable with their hospitality and stories. Highly recommend this place for any visitor. Plus Rosie's French toasts are to-die-for!!!!

Rosy Outlook's proprietors chose a prime spot for views of sea and mountain. I enjoyed meeting and getting to know the hosts. I was in four different hotels/b&bs in Alaska and this one was the best. My suggestion: if you go to Homer, consider staying with Rosy and Erless.

My first experience staying in a B&B and they set the bar pretty high! They laid breakfast out and the view was amazing! The garden was just beautiful as well! Every tip and suggestion they offered was right on point! I would highly recommend this to any visitor local or otherwise!

More home visit than B&B, this is the quintessential old-fashioned bed & breakfast where you stay in someone's house—not the room over the garage. Rosie & Erliss are hands-down the warmest and most inviting proprietors I've ever met! They're genuinely interested in their guests and equally share their Alaskan stories and knowledge. Their kindness makes you feel like your visiting... More

This was my first time staying in a bed and breakfast, and I felt like I was right at home. It was peaceful, relaxing and the view was breathtaking! Rosey and Erless were more than accommodating. They were very knowledgeable about Homer and offered maps, tips, and advice. The breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed listening to Rosey's stories. The... More

My boyfriend and I stayed with Rosie and Erliss a few weeks ago. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. They were wonderful hosts. Rosie makes an amazing breakfast. There was consistently hearty conversation at the breakfast table. They shared their detailed knowledge about the area with us and provided us with fantastic dining recommendations. Rosie and Erliss... More

The spectacular views and lovely gardens are only the beginning of what makes this a special B&B. Our party of 4, from Chugiak, AK and Livingston, New Jersey spent two very comfortable nights at Rosie's, and recommend it wholeheartedly. Rosie and Erliss are knowledgeable about the area; we learned some interesting local history from them, as well as information about... More

Had a lovely time staying here last summer. Rosy was just the most gracious host, going out of her way to help us decide what to do, where to go for dinner, etc. She knew a lot about the area, had maps and coupons ready for us to use. The rooms were comfortable (we were 2 couples) and the view... More

The best part of A Rosy Outlook is the beautiful garden overlooking the spit. The hosts are very nice and we took a bottle of wine out on the terrace every night. The only downside is that the house is very small so there is no other common space and the room we had didn't have a window. Other than... More
