The view of the mountains is spectacular, and the location is perfect....just a few minutes to Denali and glitter gulch, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet and beauty of mother nature. Very last minute in starting high season, we landed at doug's. very, very nice place. all the comfort you need, several supplies, surrounded by nature and a lovely view at the mountains. we could just sit back and relax, and enjoy. certainly recommanded. more

Just got back from AK. Spent 3 nights at AK Spruce cabins in Healy . Best place we stayed on whole trip. Cabin was very nice and saw wildlife right outside the door. Ten to fifteen minutes from Denali Park entrance. Highly reccomend !! more

I needed a place to stay on short notice and the owner Doug didn't have a problem with opening his place early to accomidate our family. As he usually is not open until May. We stayed a couple of nights in alaska spruce cabins. The cabins are very big and completely equiped. The only thing is that there was no hairdryer, but the kitchen was huge and they habe to queen beds. The setting is very nice and very quiet. You feel you are in the middle of the nature. I would really recommend these cabins when looking for accomodation near Denali NP. The cabins are located 10-20 min. by car from the entrance (depends how fast you drive...).
