Staying at the Totem Inn for four nights, which included Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, was not part of the itinerary. Heck, staying in Healy at all was not part of the itinerary! We were traveling to a resort north of Fairbanks, when our friend's truck broke down in the evening in the winter in Alaska. Luckily, no, really, blessedly,... More

The Totem needs some sprucing up and TLC. Front desk was cluttered and not inviting. Our room was a okay size but could of been cleaner. It was however "extremely" difficult to get to. A long board sidewalk to negotiate then through the entryway around past the front desk down a hall and around a corner and down the hall... More

If your traveling in tourist season and looking for a great experience spend the extra hundred and stay up in the canyon. The Totem is okay if your passing through and want a place to lay your head.!there are 2 buildings - the main and the outer. Rooms in the outer building are boardering on tiny but quiet. The rooms... We stopped here for dinner. The food menu was limited, mostly american fare. We almost left before we ordered after seeing the menu, but we gave it a try. the food was average at best. the service was OK. I would not recommend this restaurant. Prices were resonable for the area.

My girlfriend and I stayed here during a visit to Denali. From the minute we walked into the lobby, I knew we were in trouble. The couches in the lobby were straight from the 70s show, and there was a large, stuffed animal in a glass case which dominated the front lobby. It was covered in dust and not well... More

Although we didn't stay here or eat at the restaurant, he 4 of us went on a Sunday night and thought it was a really cool bar. The bartender made a real cocktail, not one watered down with ice and mixers. There were a lot of bar games to play, pool, shuffle board, xbox, wii, riding bull but a bear,... More

We found the Totem Inn by default. We wanted away from the commercialism that surrounds Denali National Park so chose to stay a bit out of the way. The Totem is everything you would expect from a traditional Alaskan Road House. Hearty food, clean and comfortable but not elegant rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were quiet... My friend and I were there for 2 meals last week. Nothing much opened for business before mid-may in Healy and Denali so Totem was our only option for quick food. We had pizza and breakfast like benedict and harsh brown. It was ok. The diner and pub deco are definitely out dated but it's a local hangout pub so... More

Overall the room was decent but the service from the employees was definitely unsatisfactory. I feel we were stereotyped for being in our early 20's and treated like we were trying to rip them off. We were accused of trying to pay for one person in a room when we had 4 but that wasn't the case at all. Considering... More

I stayed there for 1 night before going to Denali, I arrived around 9pm and took their last room. I did not dare take my shoes off; the bathroom floor looks like they do not clean along the perimeter (up to 1 ft from the wall), the shower curtain was dirty and overall I was worried about what I would...
