my friend and I turned up to Haines on bikes not knowing where to stay. we found this B&B and looked nowhere else. it had a great feel to it. a relaxed atmosphere with music playing in the sitting room and comfy sofas. the Wi-Fi was excellent which was important to us as we had to Skype and write blogs... We went up to Haines from Juneau via AK Ferry for one night. We are so happy that we stayed at The Summer Inn. Albert, the innkeeper, was so nice and thoughtful. He made us feel right at home. We will definitely stay at The Summer Inn the next time we come to visit beautiful AK!

We stayed just for 1 night. We had the double room- it's very small even by UK standards. Could just about walk around the bed! There was no closet which was fine for us as only there overnight. 2 toilets and 2 showers down hall so not bad as only 3 rooms. Also easier as toilet and shower are in... More

I had such a wonderful time in Haines AK. The owner went out of his way to create a comfortable "home" environment for me. Yes, Home away from Home! The bedroom was quite comfortable and private. The bathroom was clean (and shared, very European) with plenty of hot water. The breakfast was delicious and inventive, not your usual boring continental... More

I have booked this b&b based on tripaadvisor high rate. I didn't notice that bathroom is separate from room which by itself was clsatrophobically small. my wife and i have been charged half day rate and run away from it as quickly as possible. the credibility of trip advisor might be in question.

Breakfast was delicious ...Summer Inn is right in the middle... More

After two weeks of skiing and being outside we really enjoyed staying two nights at the Summer Inn. The rooms are clean and nice, we had a excellent sleep and enjoyed it very much to stay with Albert who is a great owner and a very nice host. Next time we'll come to you again, Thanks, Dominik and Clemens

We arrived in Haines in the early morning hours and spent the day in Skagway. The fast ferry was late getting back into Haines because of a wind storm, but Hannah was waiting for us. She was very friendly and showed us our room. Yes, they are small but plenty large enough for a night's stay - what more do... More

Stayed here recently. Hannah seems like a lovely person, but engaged in very little conversation - she definitely did not initiate the conversation. Did not even care to ask how we were doing, or how well we slept each night. The rooms are clean, functional but extremely small. The beds have no springs (we checked all the beds upstairs) -...
