Our favorite hotel during our two week tour of Alaska, BC, and Yukon. Absolutely stunning views, charming and very generous staff who went out of their way for us more than once during our stay at the Lodge. My husband, baby and I came on foot to Haines after taking the ferry. We found the Lodge here on Trip Advisor and locals on the ferry were pleased we were staying there. The owner runs a heliskiing company and the staff includes some really friendly staff who took care of our particular needs. A little rough around the edges, as is all of Haines, the Lodge gives you more of an experience than your random motel. Take a drink up at the bar and ask Patrick about growing up in the area, or let the owners charm you into wanting to move to this, the most beautiful place on earth. more
