So we went to Alaska over Memorial weekend and decided to stay at Hotel Alyeska because it was outside of Anchorage and halfway to Seward where most of my activities were going to be at. This is a very nice hotel. Very clean, good deal and lots of activities around the area. Hiking, biking, going to the top of the... More

After over nighting at a fish camp, we treated ourselves to this oasis of comfort not far away from Anchorage. Plush rooms and large baths are well decorated and intended for pampering yourself. Good restaurant in hotel. Nearby hiking too.

This place has to be one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The pictures were stunning and the price was right-- so I booked it for a romantic Valentine's getaway. The pictures just don't do this majestic place in the woods justice. I have oftentimes seen pictures of a nice pool and hot tub just to be disappointed--... More

Views were breathtaking from our 4th floor room. Very quiet rooms with complimentary water and chocolate. Staff was very friendly and very attentive. Rooms are quiet. I would highly recommend. Some really cool pictures throughout the hotel lobby.

We had a mountain view room. This was by far the most beautiful view from a hotel room in my 54 years. Granted it was a very clear day and the mountain was out for two days. The hotel lobby, grounds, people could not be better. This was also the most expensive hotel I've ever stayed at. I'm glad I... More

Rooms are small and dated. No thermostats to regulate heat. So so roof view. The restaurant was pedestrian, the service worse, and the prices at a level making you uncomfortable, What a wonderful state with such a strict corporate steward. Expects holiday in with triple pricing.

I purchased a groupon for a "special deal" for $99 sounds like a great deal ! Only one restaurant open out of three, excavators working across from the outdoor seating area so nothing but noise throughout the day. The tram was still being maintained and so unable to go up to the mountain top. On thing I do not like... More

We apologize for your experience and regret that we didn't meet your expectations during your recent stay us at Hotel Alyeska. The “surcharge” you refer to, is a resort fee that is $10 per night/per room charged to maintain and provide services such as wi-fi and pool/hot tub maintenance; both of which were available to you during your stay at... The Alyeska was nice but a bit disappointing. Only one restaurant was open so I didn't get to take advantage of any of those nicer restaurants others posted about. Also the rooms were average at best. The view was nice.

We stayed on the 8th floor. The room was awesome. The only disappointment was bathroom. The water never got hot and the door was hard to open. Everything was beautiful there. There wasn't much noise on the 8th floor being the top floor. Very spacious room. There were 5 of us and we all had plenty of room to stretch... More

I have been reading about this place for years and finally had a chance to stay on a recent business trip to AK. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed. I booked the place due to an email special and the price was great. It was in between "seasons" meaning the ski crowd had departed and the summer visitors... More
