This is quite an up-scaled facility considering most of the places in Alaska are regional hotels or B&Bs. During the summer Hotel Alyeska caters to bikers, hikers and bus tours to the area. The check- in is performed by gentlemen in coats and ties while the guests wore jeans, ski attire, and a great pair of boots. Dressier for dinner... More

I loved the look, feel, service and accommodations of this beautiful resort. Yes there are a few MINOR things to update / improve but you can find that anywhere. Alyeska was friendly, comfortable, enjoyable, the trails were gorgeous, the food tasty and I really wanted to extend even after extending my stay. If you're in Girdwood and have the $$$... More

I have to say this is one of the most gorgeous, if not the most gorgeous hotels u ever stayed at. We stayed during a 11 day Alaska tour and were given a corner room ( gorgeous view of the mountain). I could not find anything wrong with this hotel including taking the tram up the mountain. To top it... More

After reading great reviews, I guess we had fairly high expectations. While I don't have much to really complain about, let's just say we were underwhelmed. We did take the tram up the mountain; that was nice - had lunch up there and watched the hang gliders. But it wasn't spectacular. The room was nice enough - but it had... More

We spent a week here prior to an Alaska cruise. Given that there is not really any location that is "central" when trying to see Alaska, this is about as good as it gets. Make sure you do the lift up the mountain. While pricey, it is worth it. Have breakfast just down the street at the Bake Shop. It... More

Beautiful hotel, great mountain views, excellent restaurant on mountaintop via tram. Unique lobby, nice pool, nice room. First rate in every way. Good location to visit Anchorage, Whittier, glaciers and see wildlife.

After a few disappointments in ak we stayed at the amazing Alyeska resort. Rooms are well appointed and sound proof. The grounds are lovely and it's very easy to go into Girdwood for the local culture and food. Well worth the money.

The hotel is gorgeous, nestled next to a major ski mountain and place in a beautiful ecoenbironment. The rooms are nicely outfitted with high quality furniture and nice amenities. Beds are extremely comfortable. As this is a resort/destination style hotel, there are many activities, restaurants and shops on site and a continuos shuttle to nearby Girwood. The staff is very... We visited in the summer. Unfortunately, it was rainy and foggy so we didn't get to enjoy the advertised views of all the glaciers. The hotel was very nice with upscale amenities. It was nice to open the windows and enjoy the fresh, mountain air. Shopping on the lower level. We rode up the tram to the restaurant. I thought... More

I live in Anchorage and Alyeska is less than a hour away from my friends and I when we want to go on a skiing/snowboarding get away. The service there is excellent. When I was a child, I fell off the ski lift (My own fault) and fell 14 feet. The staff were on it and had me taken care... More
