We drove from Anchorage to Seward and stopped at the Alyeska Resort for lunch and a tram ride. What a beautiful property! We would love to go back some day and stay. The gardens are so manicured and the staff was friendly and helpful. We took the tram up which offers some great views of the resort and area. The... More

Let me preface this by saying we only stayed one night and we do not usually stay at "resorts". This hotel was booked as part of our vacation package through the Alaska Railroad and was a stop over so we could catch the train the next morning to Whittier. Really we barely spent 12 hours there. I also thought it... More

we stayed at a few hotels in anchorage and seward, and they were all subpar. we were starting to think there were no "resort" vacation hotels in alaska. this place was more what my family was expecting for the prices we were paying. so happy! it was beautiful everywhere, very picturesque. there were shops and restaurants and starbucks in the... We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay there while traveling through Alaska quite surprised when we arrived to see how beautiful the Lobby was. Enjoyed watching the tram climb the mountain and our own ride to the top. Would stay there agin if in the area.

This hotel is amazing. It is the only major hotel in Girdwood and has some of the most stunning scenery anywhere in the world. The set up if brilliant, the rooms very clean and comfortable, and the vibe is amazingly chilled. The walks around the Hotel were peaceful and sightings of bears made it all the more experiential. The staff... More

Stayed here with my colleagues last June for 2 nights. Great hotel with character. Picturesque surroundings. The hotel has a lift bringing you up to the mountains for the 7 glaciers restaurant where a scrumpteous buffet on fresh seafoods and salads were served. Fantastic views on the surroundings and a view on the lake above. Room was clean with good... More

Stayed here as part of our Alaska Cruisetour in July. Hotel was beautiful, rooms were comfortable. Loved the tram and the view from the top of the hill. Flower gardens were stunning with lots of summer flowers in bloom. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed one night at the recommendation of a friend. It s a fancy hotel, which is probably more fancy than my tastes. I generally do not use valets or spas on vacation, so the resort was a bit of a mismatch for me. The tram ride was cool. But the food at the bistro on top was average, at... More

We were looking forward to staying at Hotel Alyeska as our "treat" portion of our Alaska trip. We had read wonderful reviews and we were really looking forward to it. Checkin was pretty impersonal and I felt that it was more of a "factory" feel than a boutique or luxury lodge in terms of checkin. We brought our bags in... More

The location is awesome for skiing/snowboarding. The hotel has it's own run leading back to it from the slopes which is great, and it's own access to the tram which goes up to the top - there is a restaurant up there with supposedly amazing views (we didn't want to shell out the 5 star dining prices on our trip...
