Restaurant choices nearby are very limited and the Seven Glaciers hotel restaurant on top of the mountain is by far the best choice, with reasonable prices for Alaska - where most everything is more costly than in the lower 48. One quirky little thing is the front desk staff tried to discourage me from going to this restaurant on two... More

This is a really beautiful property with wonderful customer service. Definitely the nicest place in Alaska! It is at the base of a ski slope so the grounds are really beautiful and there is a tram that will take you to the top of the mountain to see the amazing views.

2 nights in August and the hotel was great-rented a junior suite and the room was very spacious-2 double beds and a pull-out sofa, clean, quiet and by far the nicest hotel we stayed in Alaska. grounds well manicured. Even though it misted and drizzled we took some great hikes-the 2.5mi trail to the hand car over the bridge is... More

We made an overnight stop during our recent Alaska trip and wish we had longer to spend in the Girdwood area. We were a party of 3 couples traveling together and 2 of our reservations had been lost. The management were able to find rooms for all 3 couples after a brief wait, with 2 of them being upgrades. We... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in July. Regular rooms only have double beds, you need to CALL (not book online) and you can get a Jr Suite for just slightly more money. It was totally worth it since we have 2 teenagers and my hubby and son are VERY tall. Room was very comfy and clean and spaciousl. It... More

Everyone talks about the Alyeska being great in the winter for skiing but we visited for a night in July. We cannot talk enough about the service and the accomadations. The room was modern comfortable. We also wanted to thank the concierge for helping us get transportation back to Anchorage. The best yet was after we left and got back... More

We chose Hotel Alyeska as we felt it would be a nice treat. However, it didn't live up to our expectations and the reviews we had read. Don't get me wrong, it is in a lovely setting and if you're the outdoorsy type, then you'll love all the walks and hiking. We did enjoy that. We felt that Hotel Alyeska... More

We stayed 4 nights in June while we explored the area and attended a wedding. We had requested a roll away because my two kids did not want to share a double sized bed. The room was smaller with a lot of furniture and we were going to need to take out some chairs to fit it. The Bell Man... More

All the staff were excellent, rooms excellent, variety of restaurants very good. Must try the mountain top Seven Glaciers Restaurant was superb, though the waitress lacked authenticity the food was great. Would love to go there in Winter skiing.

Stayed at this hotel after a cruise for a night. Wife loved the gardens around the hotel. Almost like a botanical garden. Free tram tickets to the top of the mountain with unbelievable views. Room is nice and comparable to other 4 stars. Bathroom is a bit nicer. However, couldn't get the room to cool down at night. AC probably... More
