Our tourguide on the bus (after departing the cruise ship) kept telling us how nice Alyeska was "compared to other Alaska hotels." Not sure what that meant. . .and I think it set up the hotel unfairly. Having said that, the much-heralded new sushi restaurant actually was not yet open when we arrived. . .disappointing. The other hotel restaurant was... more

We had read good reviews about the Alyeska but I wanted to add information about our experience. The hotel suffered a power outage in the middle of the night (due to circumstances beyond their control). They demonstrated true pioneer attitude with their excellent attitudes and helpfulness. They managed a continental breakfast on generator power and offered free coffee. When informed... more

We stayed here while on our Alaskan cruisetour for 2 days, 1 night. What a wonderful hotel! It is truly a hidden gem in the Alaskan wilderness. Outside the hotel doesn't look too impressive but inside it is fantastic. The room was elegant & luxurious. I loved the double wooden doors that separated the bed room area from the hall... more

We chose this hotel to finish out a two week trip to Alaska (7 days spent on a cruise). We arrived early and our room was ready. The check-in was painless. Our room was clean and well appointed. Great King Size Bed. Everything was very quiet and we were told by a staff member the real season doesn't kick off... more

Listen, I just read someones feedback about yelling in the hallway and I think that was on my floor (floor 8) but at the end of the day its the hotel and stay your rating not some random event. Its how a hotel should be, awesome jacuzzi, pool and a pretty good fitness center. Food was nice and we booked... more

The room was clean and nice, but nothing special. I stayed during the week of spring break. Hotel was overrun with kids. Most kids were unsupervised running around hotel in swimming trunks. I actually saw parents and kids playing Frisbee in the halls. Staff seemed tired; I would guess they were worn out. Parking was terrible. Skiing was awesome, the... more

A friend and I spent a weekend - January 23rd to 25th at the Alyeska Resort. It was fantastic! Every person that worked in the hotel was friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back. The rooms are very nice. We stayed in a deluxe room and it was laid out really well for people coming up their rooms... more

A nice hotel in the middle of nowhere. Rooms in higher floors are better than in the lower ones. The service in the restaurant is awful and the noise in the small bar is dreadful. Staff is young and inexperienced and the manager is not much help. When the food finally arrives after a long wait, it is mediocre at... more
