We came here in the summer. When traveling to Alaska, a beautiful state, in the summer, there was no way we were planning to spend our days cooped up inside. However, the cozy interior of this resort made me wish to be able to sit in front of the main fireplace in the winter while watching the snow through all... More

Stayed for a long weekend in October--since it was between the end of the summer tourist season and the start of the ski season, we got a nice room for a decent price. There a couple of good restaurants near by, though the ones directly inside the hotel are nothing special. Beautiful property, and great views from the top of... More

While the hotel is nice on the inside, the exterior is starting to show just how old it is. You would think that, with the ski season getting ready to stay, they would spend some time refinishing the wood exterior and furniture. Instead, it is water stained and severely weathered. The staff are polite. Room service was quick and easy.... More

...but with limited sunshine hitting this side of the valley, found the hotel and the valley side rooms of this property to be dark. Don't get me wrong; Beautiful property...just a bit lacking in natural light. Room was a nice size, but I was facing the parking lot/ valley, had a small window and needed all the room lights on... Every aspect of Hotel Alyeska was wonderful - from the gorgeous views on the drive in from Anchorage to the surrounding mountains and glaciers, to the lovely rooms. This is not a "lower 48" hotel chain experience. At Alyeska, you feel as if you are in an exotic locale and you are! This place definitely delivers as a resort experience.... More

The drive here was just the start, amazing views all the way to the hotel. Fire pit outside of hotel entrance keeps you warm while you enjoy the mountain views. The inside looks like a museum, native artifacts and the northern lights above. The rooms are comfy and mountain views showing skiing and the tram. The salt water pool and... More

The Hotel Alyeska has never disappointed my husband and I! The rooms have always been very clean and comfortable. There is nothing too exciting about the room decor but it is very cozy to come back to after a full day of skiing! The heated towel racks in the bathroom are great! We ate dinner at the Japanese resturant inside... More

They are top notch hotel. Very quaint and stylish. Very knowledgeable staff and very helpful ski instructors. Sitz Marks has the best burgers in Alaska! Very romantic, beds are awesome and views are priceless. Best rates in town!

A beautiful old hotel at the base of a ski resort. I stayed here for a couple of nights. The room was very well appointed, very comfortable. I was on the 5th floor, and my window looked out over a mountain...a beautiful view. October is considered off season, so I was disappointed that the tram was closed till November and... More

My husband and I enjoyed staying at the hotel Alyeska from Octber 3-October 7th. The hotel setting is so beautiful, breathtaking. The extra cost for staying at a room overlooking the mountains was well worth it. Everyone was so friendly from the desk staff, concierge, and the cleaning staff. My husband and I enjoyed the trails behind the hotel .... More
