We were blown away when we drove up to this hotel. Great room, friendly people. We took the tram to the top of the mountain and then hiked the area. The grounds were well maintained with pretty areas to walk around and even sit and enjoy the sun. The breakfast in the hotel was good and reasonably priced. Service was... More

We were here with an Akaskan tour group. Hotel is lovely and service awesome. Restaurants we ate in were mediocre especially at breakfast where the food was cold to lukewarm. Room was either too cold or too warm and could use a replacement of the wallpaper which is stained and separating at the seams. Cannot beat the area for friendliness.

We only had one night, but had a wonderful time. With two lovely restaurants to choose from. We went to the Sakura, very friendly people to chat to and great food. During the time we were there it rained, would love have seen more of the grounds, maybe next time!! But really enjoyed the tram trip to the top of the... More

We stayed here for two nights on our recent trip to Alaska. Excellent service and accommodations. Nicely located for day trips to Whittier and Prince William Sound and Portage Glacier. Try Jack Spratts restaurant in town-it was excellant. Grounds are beautiful to walk around. The Tram to top is scenic but your crammed in with 20 of your new best... More

I locked my keys in my truck and the director of security, Ken W. was able to help me in a very short time period. He was extremely helpful and friendly. He saved my whole day. We took the tram ride to the top of the mountain for lunch and that was a great experience. I also liked their adventure... More

This review is a bit late; we stayed in late February. First and foremost their late season ski packages are hard to beat in terms of value. That's what hooked us and I thought the resort offered tremendous value, especially when the package included our lift tickets and Food credits. The hotel is very easy to get to from the... More

This hotel is an excellent base for a visit to Alaska. From the hotel you have a choice of tours that will take you to a glacier, or glaciers, hikes, (with one crossing a torrent in a hand pulled tram) a cable car to the top of the mountain.. A knowlodgeable and helpful concierge will help with the arrangements. The... More

Excellent check in, friendly and helpful staff and concierge and nicely appointed rooms set the Hotel Alyeska from all others. In fact, I'd stay here over any place in Anchorage if the drive was shorter. Pay up for a better room if you are spending 2-3 days as the extra space is nice to have

We really enjoyed our four summer days here. We saw a huge moose on the back lawn the first day we arrived. Nice hiking trails around. The tram is fun, too. The salt water hot tub is great! And (speaking as a picky NYC yogi) the yoga class was excellent -- just wish they were offered every day and maybe... More

This is a beautiful hotel in the quaint area of Girdwood. We stayed with a Holland America land/cruise and enjoyed the calmness of the area, the spacious room, the great service and amenities. There is a well rated property restaurant at the top of the tram ride. Be sure and make a reservation before you arrive as they were all... More
