Alpine Aria was one of our favorite places during our Alaska stay. The accommodations were perfect for a family of four with comfortable beds, full kitchen and washer/dryer. The neighborhood is safe and eclectic with easy access to the mountain (3 minutes) and other notable activities within 30-45 minutes. The kitchen was well stocked with all the breakfast fare we... We highly recommend the accommodations and the innkeepers. Very relaxing and comfortable stay. Girdwood is a nice town and you should hike to the waterfall at the end of the street. Full kitchen and special baked bread. Sherry and Bob are so helpful with suggestions for great hikes and restaurants. Very comfortable for 3 (our son stayed on the Futon).... More

The name is very apt - it is chalet, filled with all the amenities that one can expect and more. The hosts, Bob and Sherry Dugan, are the most wonderful people that one can meet on their sojourns and their hospitality, warm nature is fully reflected in the way this establishment is maintained. The living room and bedroom are very... More

After several days of Alaskan accommodations in this amazing State, too often finding rag tag B&Bs that just make do, aren't what they claim on their websites, often hearing "It's Alaska! Get used to it, Ladies!", we found an OASIS of First Class lodging at Alpine Aria! We just can't thank you enough, Sherry and Bob, for your handcrafted, stunning... More

Bob and Sherry welcomed us with open arms after a long day of driving from Denali through Hatcher Pass. Music was playing as we entered the clean, modern accommodations built above the garage with a private entrance. Sherry had homemade banana bread in the refrigerator, and she delivered a loaf of hot homemade bread at 8 AM for our breakfast.... More

Sherry is a wonderful host full of information on the local area. The accommodations were perfect for my husband and I. Kitchen with a stocked refrig. for breakfast, fresh made bread, coffee and coffee pot. Washer and dryer in accommodations with all needed supplies was nice. Truly enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful time in Alaska, with this b&b making it even better! Delicious hot bread, clean and comfortable place, and great views. This was the best trip of my life including the stay in Bob and Sherry's chalet!

Sherry was wonderful and made our Valentines Day weekend extremely comfortable. Private yet close to amenities, this chalet was the perfect blend of rustic and elegant getaway for travelers. Organic and delicious snacks made by Sherry were feverishly consumed at all hours, and we were happy to see nutritious food was left for us making it a welcomed stay. Loved... More

This place was at the start of our two-week adventure to Alaska. Maybe about 45 minutes from the Anchorage airport. We loved the large space, the full kitchen stocked with breakfast and snack stuff including homemade bread and cookies, the collection of DVDs for a quite evening at home, and the books and materials on the area. Everything was beautiful,... More
