My brother and I got a chance to link up with our Mother during a property scouting trip to the Kenai Peninsula. First, I contacted Don early and hit him with several date changes for our stay. He was a saint about being hit with the changes, and it was obvious that his focus was supporting my needs first and... More

Don and Sharon's home is truly lovely. The views are unparalleled and the property immaculate inside and out. The rooms are very comfortable and exceptionally clean. I was so pleased to find something outside of town in a quiet special spot. The breakfasts couldn't have been better and it was fun to share with them there home and Alaska knowledge.... More

The overall property and hospitality are great! Our only complaint was that our room, the Bear room, has an opening to the ceiling. We felt this made for a lack of privacy. The sounds from outside were easily heard in our room and probably visa versa. Fortunately, we were there at the end of the season therefore the property was... More

Thanx for your review. I wanted to let you know that the issue with the wall not going all the way up will be remedied by next season. When the house was built the openings were left for heating purposes (as just a house the noise issue was not even considered). Through the years it has become evident that this... More

What a truly wonderful find and surprise! Clean, interestingly decorated rooms, beautiful breath-taking views, quiet, great accommodations, wonderful hosts and amazing delicious, breakfast! We will make this beautiful place a yearly visit for us! We stayed in the Canine room, the bed was so comfortable!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights near the end of August at this beautiful Bed and Breakfast. Don and Sharon are wonderful hosts, serving scrumptious breakfasts and great conversation. Can't wait for the return trip.

We stayed in the Bear room which was large ,clean and comfortable. The views from every room were unbelievable. Don and Sharron made us feel welcome and we enjoyed chatting with them both. Don cooked breakfast every morning for us which were outstanding. Talking with other guests at breakfast was very enjoyable. My wife Mary and I highly recommend staying... More

When I called to reconfirm my reservation I had a day earlier, since I had been trekking around Homer , Seldovia and had been off a day. Sharon sounded aggravated that I called, even though I apologized for my error, and glad that I was not a day early. Fritz Creek did not show up on my new GPS I... More

First let me say, I am sorry your stay was not up to your expectations. At the very least, you were a very difficult guest. I didn't yell at you until the 4th phone call for directions. In the previous calls, you refused to listen to me and insisted on wanting to know why we didn't show up on your... More

My husband and I decided to stay here just one night so we could head out to Katmai early the next morning followed by a drive to Seward that evening. Although I know that most people probably stay in Homer longer, this was not what we wanted. When we booked the room we were told (via email from the owner)... More

I am sorry everything wasn't 100%. Let me try to explain. Every year there are many accidents on the road between Homer and Seward and Anchorage. This year there were 3 fatalities. Almost all these accidents are attributed to tourists trying to drive whilst tired (from a full day of activities). It is our concern for our guests that really... More

We have stayed with Don and Sharon since finding them several years ago... Besides the outstanding home and unbelievable food, they are the most knowledgeable people we know about everything Homer and can enthusiastically recommend any sort of activity you want to try. They are like family. We stay in the apartment for several days each year which gives us... More

It was our second stay at Timber Bay B&B after a single night in 2013. This time we stayed 5 nights – 06/30 till 07/05 - and it turned out to be as pleasant as expected or hoped for. When we arrived, another traveler, resident of Anchorage, told us that this B&B is the best to be. Although I try... More
