Just returned last night from my trip to Orca Lodge, with my son , my friend and his 2 sons. It is always a concern when you invite people to go on a trip , we all had the same feeling " it was a great trip" . I have traveled all over the world fishing and I would highly... More

My husband and I stayed at Orca 12 years ago and have just now had the opportunity to return. Love the location - cannot be beat. Recommend you rent a car unless you like walking as the lodge is at the end of the road. Rentals run $90-100 a day during high season but it sure gives you flexibility. Only... More

Lodge is pleasant enough... Not particularly fancy, but showers are hot and the sheets are clean. Pretty far from town, so if you don't have transportation and envision wandering downtown Cordova, you will have logistics to solve. Booked a guided fishing trip 6 weeks in advance and was told upon arrival that we would be going out the next morning... More

Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry you had such a rough day on the river. Since this review was created before the guest checked out, and before management even had time to investigate his claims, its important to know that this guest was taken care of with the utmost professionalism. The leaky boots were disposed of and replaced... More

A special place, located in what was once a thriving cannery operation. Very interesting. Food was beyond expectation. Setting is magnificent. Christian is incredibly creative. Wonderful breads, salads, entrees, desserts. We stayed 3 nights and did one kayak trip. Former Cordova mayor Kelly was our guide and he was a treasure of local knowledge. The rooms are very basic but... More

Stayed 5 nights and 6 days, the 1st week of July, 2014 Furnishings, cleanliness and staff were average. Was no TV or proper insulation to help drown out noise from surrounding rooms. Lighting was poor. Kitchen staff and food was excellent!!! Scenery was beautiful!!! Boat captan, crew and guides showed no professionalism and the equipment needed to be replaced. They... More

Thank you for your positive comments as well as constructive criticism. Its not often that 535 lbs. of fish doesn't meet the expectations of our clients, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The other guys in your group had an amazing time and I wish you could have better appreciated the hard work that we put into showing... More

As the name says, it is an adventure lodge. Just to be in Cordova by it self is and adventure, and the Lodge is different than any other average hotel/motel/inn, not meaning that it is a bad place to stay. The opposite! It is pretty much an adventure camp... So be aware that you're not entering the ritz carton, or... More

By virtue of going to Cordova, located in Prince William Sound, one needs to understand that this is in the bush, meaning the town is only accessible by air or water, so one should not expect 5-star anything. Once the individual understands that, then the fun begins. I was there as part of a family gathering in celebration of a... More

17 days was too short! We wanted to stay forever...our deck was so pleasant with an ever changing but always spectacular view of the sound, the bald eagles, the tides, and waterfall. The staff friendly, knowledgeable, and resourceful. The chef is five star. Airplane tours are a must!

I recently spent a long weekend in Cordova with a friend. We already had plans to sleep elsewhere, but we were looking for a place to rent kayaks for the day. Brian at the Orca Adventure Lodge was incredibly helpful when I called on the phone early in the week, and when we arrived to get kayaks everyone we met... More

The Orca Adventure Lodge in Cordova is phenomenal. I was born and raised in Alaska and travel all over the state for work. This lodge is as close as you can come to the true Alaskan experience. There is nothing fancy about it- kind of like Alaska itself. The rooms are very basic and definitely not "luxury", but if it... More
