We booked our stay at Orca Adventure Lodge after meeting Ian, one of their former charter captains. It is impossible to relay how amazing our trip was. From start to finish, every encounter we had with the staff was top notch. The manager, Brian, is fantastic. He answered all of our questions and was so helpful in providing the information... More

The Orca is indeed a wonderful place to spend a few days. The former cannery is staffed by people who are truly in love with what they do. Everyone is friendly and accommodating and dedicated to you enjoying your stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the FOOD, ah, the food is GREAT. Choices, presentation, flavor blends are amazing.... More

My companion and I stayed in a queen room on the Adventure Package which included our meals and use of fishing gear and kayaks. We arrived in the afternoon and the shuttle was there to pick a group of us up. We got a brief explanation of Cordova and the shuttle stopped in town to let us purchase snacks and... More

Awesome comments and a really solid overview of Orca. I'm so glad that you had an exciting trip and got to see and explore Cordova at your pace. I really need to figure out a way to use "chillaxing" in our marketing somewhere...Love that! More

This is the second time I have stayed at the Orca Adventure Lodge. The first time in 2004 and now in 2015. This lodge never fails to impress. The rooms are simple and clean. The staff is attentive and dedicated to ensuring guests have a great time. The best part I would say is the food. Christian the chef would... More

Orca and the surrounding Cordova area has so much to see and explore, it often times takes more than one trip to really experience this region. Having fished primarily on previous trips, it was refreshing to see you return and explore the non-fishing adventures we have to offer. Its always rewarding for us when somebody "discovers" Orca, than decides to... More

At first glimpse I was a bit concerned. 4 days later I was very impressed. The room was clean and spacious, we stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 level room. The staff was amazing!!! They were so nice and accommodating , even letting me use the dryer on my last day since my backpack was shaken wet and we were... More

My husband and I and another couple spent 3 days and had a fabulous time. The lodge is only 2+ miles from the town of Cordova (I walked it one day in less than an hour). The accommodations are simple, spacious, and clean. The sight for the lodge, an old cannery right on the bay, is spectacular. The "mess hall"... More

I'm so glad that our accommodations, professionalism and top notch food were highlights of your trip! The history of Orca and Cordova in general is so fascinating, and I'm glad that you were able to appreciate "Big Bertha" and the rest of the historically significant buildings on property. As you mentioned, we are a great home base for the avid... More

My wife and I had a tremendous trip to Cordova due to our stay at Orca Adventure Lodge. Top notch service! Everyone was extremely helpful and my lord the food was terrific. If you like fishing you will love Orca Adventure Lodge. Everything from picking you up at the Cordova Airport, to the food at their Cafe, to the rooms, to the fishing is "top notch". OAL pays attention to the details and they made our trip absolutely amazing. We (myself and my three sons) were able to catch Halibut, Pink Salmon,... More

Thank you so much for feedback and gracious words about our staff and service. Anytime a father can get out with his sons fishing, its a special time whether the kids are 8 or 38. I'm just happy we could be a part of your Alaska adventure and hope you guys can return in the future! More

We visited Orca for a week in August visiting our son who had summer employment in Cordova. Orca was exactly as represented, and exactly as it should have been. When we wanted to plan things on our own they were helpful without being overbearing, and when we did need guidance they were terrific--we still have a freezer full of halibut... More

My family and another family stayed at the Orca Lodge in June. There is lots to do in the surrounding areas. We hiked on the glacier and other areas, fished, and kayaked. We rented a 2 story unit that could have slept 6 people. The rooms are rustic, certainly nothing fancy. However, the rooms at the front have an amazing... More
