My daughter got married at the Edgewater and her day was very moving and as other guest said the best wedding they had ever been to.It was held on the beach front then the reception was under a marquee.Being the mother of the bride all I did was Consult with the wedding organisers then sit back and relax. We had 91... more

We spent ages researching where to stay in Rarotonga & got a deal online with itchyfeet to fly pacific blue & stay in Edgewater. It was quite a comparable deal, but upon arrival realised why! Unfortunately we'd booked shocking hours to fly(not great for a child) and the flights with Pacific Blue were very average, this was chosen due to... more

I have spent a month and half trying to organise to have my wedding at the Edgewater. I was appointed a wedding co-ordinator who only contacted me after I complained out the lack of communication. I wrote email after email sending all of them to the accomm manager, the wedding co-ordinator and also to the general Edgewater email. I was... more

I returned for my fifth stay at the same resort and enjoyed it as much as ever. Originally I had gone with my late husband booking through travel agents and had always been impressed with the friendly faces and helpful service. Last year I arranged directly with the airline for myself and a group of friends who also agreed it... more

Rarotonga was so beautiful & I would definately go back but I don't think I would stay at the Edgewater, The cleanliness was below avearge particularly in my first room, aparently a Beachfront Deluxe, I moved to a garden room after 3 days which was cheaper & much cleaner. I asked for my aircon to be fixed for 3 days... more

Because of cigarette smoke still lingering from the last client, we were upgraded to a superior room. This had blood over the ceiling where a bird had hit the fan. Nearly all the structural stantions supporting the balconies and the gutters were rusted through. The electricity came on and off every 3 minutes from 7am to 10 am as overloaded.... more

We were originally booked in to Club Raro but ended up at the Edgewater as the former was overbooked. The food was above average, and although not the best snorkelling beach, I spent many hours in the water. It was not close to town but several eateries were in easy walking distance and I don't believe you can experience Raro... more

We stayed there last July with my two step sons, one of whom had never travelled overseas before. We found the service very slack, both at reception and at the restuarant and bar (one night the restaurant's service made Faulty Towers look good, no kidding!). The rooms were tired and old. The facilities limited, eg. for two tennis courts they... more

I stayed at the Edgewater Resort with my family in 94/95 and 97 and plan to go back. We had a room overlooking the gorgeous lagoon. The staff were really friendly and gave us exceptional service. “Island Night” at the resort was amazing, it’s not to be missed! We had a wonderful time at the lovely hotel and can’t wait... more

We were sorely disappointed when we arrived at the Edgewater resort. Our rooms were ok and the staff did their job, but the resort is terribly dated. The food was not bad, but the location was awful. It is a lonngggg walk to town and the beach at the resort is very sad. I would recommend staying at a resort... more
