Rarotonga was so beautiful & I would definately go back but I don't think I would stay at the Edgewater, The cleanliness was below avearge particularly in my first room, aparently a Beachfront Deluxe, I moved to a garden room after 3 days which was cheaper & much cleaner. Because of cigarette smoke still lingering from the last client, we were upgraded to a superior room. This had blood over the ceiling where a bird had hit the fan. Nearly all the structural stantions supporting the balconies and the gutters were rusted through. The electricity came on and off every 3 minutes from 7am to 10 am as overloaded.... more

We were originally booked in to Club Raro but ended up at the Edgewater as the former was overbooked. The food was above average, and although not the best snorkelling beach, I spent many hours in the water. I stayed at the Edgewater Resort with my family in 94/95 and 97 and plan to go back. We had a room overlooking the gorgeous lagoon. We were sorely disappointed when we arrived at the Edgewater resort. Our rooms were ok and the staff did their job, but the resort is terribly dated. The food was not bad, but the location was awful.
