This place is great -- worth the extra time it takes to get here. They did have a recent bear mauling near the lodge so they did have warning signs posted to alert all guests and staff. Staff was extremely friendly and overall - we loved our 2 night stay. The color of the Kenai River is amazing. We're not... more

We visited this area of Alaska as just a side trip on the way to Seward. We visited the lodge and had dinner there. The lodge is surrounded by mountains and is right above the amazing Kenai River. So off to Seward we went. After we were done with the glacier cruise in Seward, my wife and I both wanted... more

This was the last lodge we stayed at on our Princess pre-cruise landtour and we thought it was the best of all those we had visited. The wooden cabins were very spacious but cosy with two comfortable double beds, sofa, armchair, chest of drawers and a woodburning stove which we lit each evening. As with all the lodges, the bathrooms... more

Very nice hotel. Our cabin was very clean. The terrace outside of the main building has a great view of the Kenai river. Breakfast was nice (not included), we didn’t go for the buffet instead we had very good pancakes. There is a short walking trail next to the hotel with some informative signs about the vegetation in the area.... more

As part of a 7 day land package with Princess, we stayed 2 nights at Kenai, 2 nights at McKinley, 1 night at Denali, and 2 nights at Fairbanks. This was by far the most romantic lodge that we stayed in. Staff was very friendly and responsive. View was fantastic. River float in the area was fantastic as we saw... more

Of all the Princess Lodges we stayed in, this is the best! We found Princess Kenai to be much quieter without the crowds of people coming and going. It is set in a wonderful position high up above the river with great walks down to the river (and a phone to request a lift back up the hill!) and another... more

Three nights - totally comfortable, clean and relaxing! Good mattresses, loved the wood fire stove, private view off our deck - all in all very comfortable. The staff is attentive and friendly, the restaurant was good and do try the bison chili at the bar. This property is a bit smaller than the other Princess lodges we saw, but feels... more

We loved our stay here. We had a beautiful cozy cabin and really enjoyed our one night here. It was very private and had beautiful views. We got a much needed good night's rest after going, going, going with all kinds of activities for the previous 4 days. Its a perfect place to stay if your enroute between Homer and... more

Wow! Loved it here! The rooms were cabins with 2 beds, fireplace, couch, bath and deck. Clean...always key in my book. A few nature trails nearby. River is right there. Outdoor deck at the Lodge is fantastic. Great views. Food was awesome. In the 16 day total stay (7 of which were cruise), I voted this the best all around.... more

My daughter and I stayed here in May after a long day of driving the Seward Highway, hiking Exit Glacier and seeing the Sea Life Center in Seward. It was a rainy day but the beauty of Alaska still was awesome. We arrived at the hotel in the evening and had already eaten dinner so cannot comment on the food... more
