We've traveled to the Kenai since 2001, and have numerous experiences of some really bad fishing cabins and rooms. George and Shirley, your host, have the cleanest rooms, the best beds on the peninsula, their prices are more than fair, and are just great fun to make your day special. We come back every year. If there was a better... More

We spent one night at the Hutch. Breakfast options were wonderful - lots of variety, including options for people with various dietary restrictions. Location was good, bed was comfortable, room was clean, and owners were very nice.

We spent 5 nights at the Hutch B & B while we were fishing on the Kenai River. George and Shirley are very friendly and made us feel welcome. Our room was clean and adequate; the continental breakfast was good. The evening campfire was a pleasant place to visit with other guests and wind down from the day's activities.

It was ok for what it's worth. If I had to choose a different place I would have. They have a continental breakfast. The milk for cereal was dated Sept 16 on Sept 30th. It smelled like the owners had been smoking. Maybe it was late in the season and they were closing up for the year. We paid summer... More

We only stayed one night at The Hutch on our way to Homer. Sometimes it's about the experience rather than the great room you get. Our room was in the back on the third floor. Climb the steps as there is no elevator. The room was small for two people but comfortable, quiet and clean. The shower and loo are... More

We shared this B & B with a number of fishermen. The rooms were very nice and the morning continental breakfast was plentiful and quite varied. Best part was the evening campfire where a novice fisherman can sit for hours and listen to all the great Kenai fish stories. George and Shirley were great innkeepers and really made everyone feel... George and Shirley were fantsatic! A lot of fisherman stayed here at the same time as us which wasn;t a problem at all, they were all very friendly and gave us the brilliant tips on where to find the bears! The Russian River was the best place close to the hotel, turn left out of hotel and it's a 5... More

We absolutely loved "The Hutch Bed & Breakfast" Mike and I were there from May 30-June 11, 2014. George and Shirley are both wonderful! The trip was on our bucket list and while we were there, we were married on the Kenai River. We were originally suppose to have a 6 week trip, but for some unfortunate circumstances, got cut... George and Shirley made us feel very welcome in their rustic decor property in Cooper Landing. The bed was super comfortable and our room was quiet and well equipped. The continental breakfast was fine. The B&B is set back from the main road and not far from the river. Good eating places are to be conveniently found a short drive... More

Located right on the Kenai River, this B&B is in a convenient location for travelers going from Anchorage to Homer. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly. The room was large, there were lots of amenities, and they even have a campfire every evening if you are interested in sharing travel experiences. A Continental Breakfast is included as well.
