Quite close to where we stayed so an easy option for a meal, really enjoyed the lunches and in particular we shared a club sandwich which was great, nicely marinated chicken. Well priced, a view of the beach with a light breeze under the roof to watch the world go by.

My husband and I recently had a 3-night stay at Tamanu Beach Resort and we had a wonderful stay. We stayed in the adults-only side of the resort in a well-appointed, comfortable and spacious bungalow. We were very pleased that the complimentary breakfast also included a hot breakfast choice of the menu as well as the continental buffet, which is what most Rarotongan hotels provide. The staff were really friendly and helpful. And the complimentary foot massage from the spa is a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend Tamanu Beach Resort to anyone coming to beautiful Aitutaki.

What a fabulous 3 days we had at this hotel in Aitutaki. We were in the adult only area our room was spacious with a huge bed. We loved the thatched roof. The balcony was great for sitting in the evenings. The bathroom was spacious and modern, and the toiletries smelt gorgeous. We absolutely loved the outdoor shower….what a treat. All staff were friendly and helpful. We found the food to be pretty good…please remember they are reliant on supplies from outside the island. The beach is stunning. A fantastic stay with no complaints

We attended the Island Night Cultural buffet. I’m not a big fan of buffets however the quality and choice of Polynesian food was excellent. Kilan the MC, singer, dancer, barman and a super nice guy made our night. The dancing and fire show was great and just amount of time!

While on Aitutaki, we stayed at 3 place and Tamanu Beach was the best and it wasn’t even the most expensive. We paid $650 NZD per night. I think we were in #110 and were 3 or 4 units back from the beach. The units are arranged so you still see the water. The rooms are in island decor and a good size. The resort is nicely designed. The restaurant is very good and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. I always found the bar to be selling. At dinner, I had one of the best deserts: ice cream, sorbet, fresh fruit and spun sugar. Breakfast is included and you order from the breakfast menu but they’ll mostly make what you want. We attended “Island Night” and “Sunset BBQ” enjoying the dancing and music performances as well as the food. I liked trying the local vegetables. The bikes are best we rode and well maintained. These bikes are easiest transportation and the island is flat so biking was NOT to taxing. Nice staff. Summer at the front desk was very helpful. Visit Aitutaki Marine Research Center. Walk up Mount Maunga Pu. Eat dinner at Avatea cafe.

Tamanu welcomed us warmly to Aitutaki straight from the airport! Aunty Nane greeted us and saw our safe transport to the resort. Tamanu is locally owned and operated, and really goes the extra mile to make your holiday restful and relaxing. Our bungalow had an amazing view, the beaches were full of incredible marine life (on and off shore), and their Island Night provided us with the opportunity to learn more about the islanders’ culture, history, and try ALL THE FOOD. We enjoyed every part of our stay here and will absolutely return.

We had the privilege of staying beach villas 202 and 203, side by side and right on the beach. The picture included is the view from our patio from the room. The staff at the front desk was efficient and helpful. We have nothing but compliments. The staff at the restaurant equally as efficient even when we forgot to make a reservation and that was for the Sunday BBQ night (we had just arrived from San Francisco). We enjoyed the BBQ night, lots of food, salads galore and meats galors...way too much food and then, hold up, there's dessert that shows up too! Mr Nick Henry is one of the stars on the Team. He sings, he dances, he makes you feel like family and that you're at home. This is a wonderful hotel and restaurant.

This was our first stay at Tamanu Reef, and we loved every minute of it. We occupied 2 of the 3 beachfront room (202 + 203), and they were very comfortable, spacious and beautifully appointed. We had a small fridge, coffee maker and tea kettle. Our bathrooms were roomy and included an outdoor shower. We have seen some of the best sunsets from our walkways at Tamanu Reef. This is a family owned hotel, and Mr. Henry (Nick) welcomes you like family. We had to hug him every time we saw him -- it's like having your younger brother take care of you! The Thursday night barbecue is full of delicious salads, meats and the freshest fish you can eat. I had the best Eggs Benedict at breakfast with an amazing hollandaise sauce (even asked for extra on the second day!). We loved the beach and reef in front of our rooms and tried everything from kayaking to stand-up-paddleboarding. My kids went biking and made the best of everything at Tamanu Reef. The resident orange cat was a fan of my kids and made their balcony his home for out stay -- we love cats and loved having him! Take advantage of the 10-minute complimentary foot massage. The two Fijian ladies make you laugh while you enjoy the magic their hands do to relieve any tension in your feet. You will totally love it! We highly recommend Tamanu Reef and know when we return, this will be the place we come home to. Meitaki to Nick and family!

This hotel is the family business, Nick, his brothers, wife and whole staff are nice, helpful and that is why we felt like at home. Accommodation, food, beach is great as well. I have been to many places in the world and in many great hotels but this is one of the kind because of the atmosphere and I am absolutely happy being there. Thank you so much Nick for your amazing hospitality, will never forget it. Kasia & Pawel from Poland ❤️
