We stayed at Tamanu beach for 5 nights during our trip in June 2009. The properties are located right on the beach on the western side of Aitutaki with spectacular beaches and views out to Aitutaki lagoon on your doorstep. We stayed in a 1-bedroom lagoon view room (there are some properties located right on the beach). The room was... more

I recently spent five days in Aitutaki and all those days/nights at the Tamanu Beach property. This is a family-run operation and it shows in a positive way. I stayed in a lagoon studio (111) and it had a direct view of the lagoon - AND the sunset - which was perfect! All the staff remembered my name from my... more

This is an absolutely amazing place. Our beach front bungalows had the best view of the crystal clear blue waters and the corals beneath it. Our requirements was good view and good snorkeling spot and this place had it all and more. The staff here made us feel like home and they are so friendly that it made this place... more

We stayed 3 nights and had a fantastic, relaxing & memorable holiday. Our bungalow was clean, comfortable and fully equiped. The beach was beyond our dreams, amazing snorkelling, free kayaks and loungers; there is also a great pool with views over the lagoon. Staff couldn't have done more for us, very friendly as were all the islanders. The Island night... more

We had a really nice lagoon view bungalow which was ready immediately. We had originally booked a beachfront bungalow but due to a mix up by our tour op, we had the lagoon view instead and requested room 210. If you have a look at the Tamanu's website you will see that this room is situated just behind and to... more

Tamanu Beach is a great place to stay while on Aitutaki. The bungalows are cosy with a nice view of the lagoon. Cool off in the pool that`s right on the beach, or snorkle in the lagoon. The staff is very helpful, always smiling and up for a chat. The restaurant is excellent. And its fantastic to sit there and... more
