We recently spent 4 days at this gorgeous resort. What a stunner. We stayed in a lagoon villa right near the pool. It was spacious, immaculate and filled with flowers when we arrived from a windy Rarotonga The restaurant on site is great, the staff friendly and helpful and as we stayed 3 nights we got a complimentary snorkelling trip... We stayed for a week in early April in a beachfront bungalow. Obviously, Aitutaki in itself is spectacular. Tamanu Beach has a great location, right on the water. The rooms are nice, but not luxury. We were comfortable while inside. The porch is huge and provides great views of the ocean and sunsets. We were extremely happy with the restaurant.... More

We went there for 8 days and got married. Tamanu Beach is superb. We loved it. The facilities are really good, the staff were fantastic and the food was sublime and the surroundings are beautiful. The Ika Mata (fish marinated in lime juice and coconut milk) was simply amazing. In thinking about our time we can't think how it could... More

Tamanu Resort is split into two with a private property between - our villa required a 1 minute walk along the beach to the restaurant and reception. We stayed in a studio villa - not beachfront - but just as good with super views of the lagoon and the lovely small pool, which also looked out onto the lagoon. We... More

Stayed in one of the one-bedroom bungalows that fronts onto the beach so great view on to beach and lagoon. The bungalow itself was very clean, big bed, and quite spacious really. Be aware that if you get one with a TV, it is a 17inch screen and there seems to be only one TV channel, though it did have... More

Set in a lovely garden, our unit felt very welcoming with lovely fresh flower decorations. The unit was airy, spacious and clean, with tea and coffee making facilities. Our unit was next to the small sparkling pool and we could just glimpse the lagoon from our verandah. All drinking water is bottled and the bottles in the mini-fridge were filled... More

We had a beach front villa, but the tree off the deck blocked the view and we were unable to change rooms. It is a beautiful property with excellent snorkeling right off the beach - beware of squishy sea cucumbers. A new general manager was starting, and the staff was not always helpful, leaving us to book activities on our... More

The resort is split into two - on the side that we stayed on, we had to walk across the beach to get to the restaurant. There is no lighting in the dark and not particularly pleasant if it is raining. The room was comfortable, we even managed to use the kitchen a couple of times to cook snacks (fried... More

We were upgraded to the absolute beachfront which were exceptional. Had all the amenities we needed. They have the best dinner show on the island, however try and get front row seats as last minute they changed the venue and we went from being at the front to being at the back and could hardly see a thing. But food... More

Tamanu was the perfect spot for us. We stayed in one of the older studio bungalows, #2, and we loved it! The kitchen was great for when we wanted to cook our own meals and the fridge lent ample space for everything we needed. The A/C ran ice cold and the room was made spotless every day. We loved out...
