The setting and location of this resort is second to none. It is in my opinion the best spot for a hotel in Aitutaki. Our bungalow was facing the inlet and was a perfect spot unaffected by the wind. The room is a good size and the decor is very nice. Our bungalow had an outdoor shower which was ok... More

We spent three wonderful relaxing days at the Aitutaki Lagoon Resort during our recent visit to the Cook Islands. The resort is in a stunning location and has a distinct island feel. The two minute ferry trip to get to the island on which the resort is located and the traditional welcome make the resort different create that island feel... More

We went to the resort for a couple of days of R&R just for the two of us after a family get together in Rarotonga. Our lagoon side room was pleasant - not the best of views but was clean and comfortable It was also sheltered from the constant SE trade wind. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The restaurant... More

A beautiful place. It was very relaxing and lovely to walk around in bare feet. Wonderful small pool, but not very good swimming in the sea. Current quite swift and the little island full of sea cucumbers. Went on a good boat trip and deep sea fishing trip. Staff were excellent and friendly. We visited in 2006.

We were actually warned that it was windy where the over water bungalows were but we upgraded and gave it a go. The view was amazing but when the tide came in is sounded like a washing machine during a heavy duty wash!!! Service was great but they could have had a better wine and food selection. My husband is... More

Stayed July 2015, weather wet & windy and quite cold. Undoubtedly had some effect on our feelings about the resort. Disappointed with quality of accommodation as the rooms whilst tidy and pleasant were in need of updating and refurbishment. We had an over water bungalow and the noise of the sea in the high winds was almost unbearable. suggest if windy... From the minute we arrived to the heartfelt goodbye my husband & I couldn't have wished for a better place to spend our honeymoon! The staff were so friendly and helpful and under the management of Ake Tui we felt very spoilt and were very well looked after as they couldn't do enough for us. The Aitutaki Lagoon Resort &... The resort rests on a small island just off the main island of Aitutaki and overlooks the lovely lagoon. It is only a very very short boat ride over the channel (maybe 1 minute). The resort is reasonably old but the rooms have been refurbished recently. The gardens and the pool area needed some attention to make them nicer. The... More

We stayed in May and were very disappointed. Advertised as 5 star resort when it is in fact only 2 star self rated. Very run down and with sparse gardens. Provides an amazing location but terrible service. Don't recommend staying here at all. Managers cocktails is a joke with no manager present but only junior staff from a few departments.

We were lucky to upgrade from the Rarotongan Resort for two nights to this beautiful resort. Our bungalow looked south right down the lagoon, breathtaking views. The weather was perfect and the water and islands looked just like the brochures. The staff were very friendly and helpful, food delicious and we were fortunate to have a private boat charter for...
