This hotel is without a doubt on the beat part of the lagoon. The rooms are spacious, clean and all have great views of the water. The thing that makes this hotel average is the staff- they are all rude, slow and not interested. The service is of a very poor standard- from front desk, to bar staff to the... More

Gobsmacked is the best way to describe my reaction upon mooring up to this little piece of paradise. Everywhere u turn is postcard perfect!!! My husband & I stayed in an overwater bungalow & we were very happy with what it had to offer... waking up with that view every morning was just mind blowing! The staff were all super... More

This was our island paradise, we had great accomodation in beachfront suite. The suite was well furnished Island style, we had modern fittings, it was very clean and well maintained. Enjoyed the fact that you could only shower in a private outside semi dome with an overhead shower head that was attached to the suite. We were only seconds away... More

I was really hesitant about booking here because of the negative reviews.. BUT.. I'm so glad I went with my instinct, it was perfect. 1. The rooms aren't exactly five star (modern) but it was really well kept and clean. The design is quite traditional so doesn't live up to the standards of expensive, modern/chic design, but this is the... More

This is not a 5 star hotel by any means, which therefore means you feel cheated. If they advertised as 4 star, then I wouldn't complain as it is a typical Cook Islands type resort with lovely local friendly staff (but with traditional slightly inept service). Too many aspects are "tired" and need a spruce up. As I say, ok... More

I first stayed here in October 1997 and it just knocked my socks off with the beauty, grace and tranquility. It still remains as one of my most pleasurable experiences of a island holiday. So much nicer than any of the Hawaiian Islands or anywhere else in the South Pacific. The people are just so respectful, pleasant and helpful. You... More

O.M.G. I sat (happily) for quite a while with this conundrum. How do we describe Aututaki lagoon resort when we arrive home. People wont believe the photos, as every one you take is beyond belief that it can be that beautiful without photo shopping. So I described it as "a place that you dont wish to sleep or leave". The... More

Stayed in a Premium beachfront bungalow for four nights (as I couldn't justify the price of the overwater bungalow, unless I was on a honeymoon). Was very happy with the location of our bungalow - was lucky to get the one furthest away from the restaurant (just before the overwater bungalows; I like my peace and quiet). Very beautiful location.... More

On the recommendation of a work colleague, we investigated and then took our honeymoon in Aitutaki. The Aitutaki Lagoon Resort and Spa was exactly as advertised - the perfect romantic holiday in an over-the-water bungalow with the most gorgeous of waters. We dove into our lagoon everyday with hundreds of fish and one 18 inch blue starfish (who stayed the... More

An incredible resort, staff were lovely & thought of everything. They always had smiles on their faces! Food was tasty, never had a bad meal, cocktail and wine list included everything you needed. The expense is expected based on how remote it is. Definitely 5 stars! Private island, white sands, clear, blue water. The use of paddle boards/snorkel gear/kayaks was... More
