I have to admit that the views and the water are pretty, but we found ourselves wanting to leave early due to it raining and not having much to do. The island is small and there are not many places to eat at. The lagoon cruises were all canceled. Everything was expensive. It was forced relaxation/boredom which can be good... more

I am a travel agent from Christchurch NZ and travelled with a group of 7 family and friends for a 25th wedding anniversary. This is the best spot on the island. no hussle and bustle. the perfect paradise. i inspected other accommodation in Aitutaki and would return to Aitutaki beach resort and spa when ever i can next make it.... more

Terrible terrible terrible!! Do NOT waste your money, staff are awful, food is pathetic and rooms are not up to scratch! Island is great but there are plenty of beautiful other resorts to stay at on the island, don't even consider this place! more

We stayed for five nights at the Aitutaki Lagoon Resort and Spa in May 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The flight into Aitutaki from Rarotonga was absolutely beautiful. We had a beachfront bungalow, which looked out on the channel, rather than the main lagoon. The bungalow was very spacious, but could use a bit of upgrading – specifically the floor... more

Well where the heck do we start with this.......??? Having just stayed 12 nights before at Etu Moana (listen to all reviews as that place is just amazing-everything's true)! However, any good reviews you see on this absolute joke of of a resort "the Lagoon resort" you are crazy to listen to! You cannot possibly like this place if you... more

We've just returned from our trip to the Cook Islands and the Aitutaki Lagoon Resort & Spa was by far the highlight. We stayed in both the beachfront bungalows and the overwater bungalows. The beach front was great, a lovely room with great deck and only steps away from the ocean. The overwater bungalow however was beyond FANTASTIC. The room... more

Had read some tripadvisor reviews that worried us before our trip, especially as we were booked in a garden bure! But, from the time we viewed Aitutaki from the air whilst in the plane we had the best time. Aitutaki is gorgeous. The welcome we received at the airport was great, the arrival and check in was fantastic. I loved... more

We stayed for 4 nights in a Beachfront Bungalow. We were so dissapointed with the accommodation as it was something similar to a Cravan Park! The floors were marked & filthy, the shower recess was all stainless and very poorly kept. The Lagoon & staff were exceptional.... so friendly and polite. It is a magical place but if you are... more

This is a great place to get away and relax. It is also a wonderful honeymoon destination! The staff are really great, the food much much better than expected and the setting divine. It is located on the lagoon which is more tranquil and peaceful than the coastal settings of other hotels. The water is the perfect aqua blue that... more

if you are going to Aitutaki, I would recommend not to stay at this hotel. Here are the reasons: The bungalows are totally overpriced. My boyfriend and I stayed 4 nights in the Deluxe Beachfront Bungalow and the location and view was really beautiful, but the bungalow looked old and shabby and not well maintained. The staff at the reception... more
