My wife and I went here for honeymoon and loved it! This hotel is nicely secluded, although a short boat ride to town. I have visited the Carribean many times but would not have chosen one of those hotels over this one. Unlike the Carribean, we were not herded into a large hotel that is impersonable. The hotel staff was... more

The location is attractive apart from the ever-present local mosquitoes . Colorful fish are a plenty to watch from the rather pleasant restaurant . But those guys just cheated us on the reservation we made :they deliberately ignored the type of faré we had reserved (deep water , full ocean view , etc.) and paid for , and they parked... more

Beautiful isolated hotel. The rooms are huge but outdated. It is a great hotel to stay four or five days. The service is very good and the food was the best one in FP. The shuttle connects you with the town each hour. But, having said this, we must say that this hotel is absolutely overpriced. We paid 770$ per... more

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Te Tiare in October 2007 after first traveling to New Zealand for 7 days, Papeete for 4 days and cruising on the Paul Gauguin for 11 days. The stay at Te Tiare was the highlight of our trip. If you are looking for the ultimate location for a romantic and/or relaxing vacation,... more

Dollar to satisfaction, Te Teira was the worst hotel experience my wife and I have ever had. On our two week honeymoon in FP, which also took us to the Sofitel in Moorea and the St. Regis in Bora Bora, we purposefully chose to book a few nights at Te Tiare to experience an "un-Westernized" version of FP. Huahine seemed... more

Our observations...Huahine is gorgeous! The resort is a little "rough around the edges". After 3 nights at the Moorea Pearl we were on cloud 9 (the service was fantastic). We arrived in Huahine in the rain. The taxi boat broke down and a grumpy woman checked us in. But we were still optimistic. We checked into our beach bungalow and... more

We were pleased with the size of our OTW bungalow, the largest in French Polynesia. The size of the deck , complete with its little shaded area, make it very special. However, the OTW units are located right on the boat channel, hindering a private feeling and interfering with sleep. I would choose an OTW on another island if you... more

We stayed at Huahine for 5 nights before departing to Bora Bora. Huahine is one of the most secluded islands I have ever been to. Because of this, the island is in pristine condition and will have you awe struck. The Te Tiare was an above average hotel. We stayed in a lagoon bungalow which was a nice introduction to... more

My husband and I just spent June 10-20 in Moorea, Huahine and Bora Bora. We spent 3 nights at the Moorea Pearl, which was fabulous. We were there 3 years ago and it was beautiful then. It was just as we remembered it. The staff was great, the overwater bungalow was clean, big and perfectly situated over the corals, so... more

A slice of heaven on earth. It's where Hawaiians go on vacation. Spend the extra dough and get an overwater bungalow..you will reget it if you don't. The sunsets are amazing and the water is gorgeous and calm. I went there for my honeymoon for 6 days last week of January of 2006 - sorry review is a tad late,... more
