Gene Sweeney planned our whole anniversary vacation, SIMPLY AMAZING! He planned our dinner and my birthday dinner, couldn't have been more pleased with the arrangements. We had 2 overwater bungalows and one garden pool accommodations, great! We did Moorea, Tahaa and BoraBora. All 3 islands were beautiful! If you are planning to go to Tahiti, I would definitely let Gene... More

Our experience at the Ti Tiare (now Royal Huahine) was unforgettable. If you want a taste of true Polynesia- an incredible setting combined with the warmth of the Polynesians- this is the choice to make. Yes, the hotel is a little less convenient because you take a boat ride to get there, which is free of charge (don't know why... More

Our whole experience was not good. We stayed in May 2014 in an overwater bungalow. The air conditioning was inadequate. When it was windy, the bungalow leaked so bad it was like having a hot fan blowing over the bed. The shower didn't work properly, and make sure you don't get the water in your mouth. Take bottled water. This... More

How do we book this hotel? I've been trying to book a room for end of September (in 4 months) but no success. There is no official website and all other commercial sites (agoda, Booking, Expedia) are showing no availability for any day during the year. I even tried for October, November or December... Nothing. Is it hotel still opened... More

To my delight I discovered a special island in French Polynesia - Huahine. It is tucked away from crowds with the usual rat race that ensues. It is an untouched treasure. The Royal Huahine was a refreshing experience of old Polynesia. I stayed in a deep overwater bungalow. It was spacious with comfortable beds and a large bathroom with a... More

We spent 3 nights in this hotel and were a little bit scared seeing some negative reviews on this website. We loved our stay at the Te Tiare / Royal Huahine. We had an overwater bungalow and, although you could see that the hotel is a little bit old, the bungalow was huge and perfectly clean, with a very big... More

The Royal Huahine is a calm and lovely tropical retreat from the throngs of tourists on the other Society islands. We had a deep overwater bungalow - a few steps right into the lagoon - snorkeling several times each day with a fresh water shower right at the deck. The place is being lovingly resorted under new ownership and has... More

The rooms are large, but the air conditioners are too small for the rooms. The place needs a complete redo. It is shabby to say the least. There is not enough staff to take care of the grounds or bungalows. The pool always looked like it needed a good cleaning. The restaurant was not good. The breakfast was good, but... More

I was getting worried about this hotel because of some of the negative reviews on here. However, we had a wonderful experience here and found this to be a very special place. We were in an overwater bungalow and while it is a little dated it was extremely clean and spacious. I was particularly impressed with the size of the... More

I recently stayed at the now Royal Huahine, formerly Te Tiare, for four nights. The weather was not good during our stay, which of course isn't the hotel's fault, but the resort still failed to meet even my low expectations, as I had read the recent poor reviews before arriving. The food was mediocre at best. The overwater bungalow was... More
