My wife and myself have traveled to Hawaii many times and to the resorts on Malaysia (Pangkor Laut and Tanja Jora) and Australia (Lizard Isand an Orpheus). We love beach time and snorkeling. After these experiences prior to 2006 we came across the magazine ISLANDS an issue circa 2005 which had on its cover a heading which read something like... More

Isolated location is pretty, but it will cost you far more then price of hotel room. $18 per person for a 10 minute cab ride to the hotel boat. Only eating choice is the hotels restaurant which is expensive and not that good ($20 continental breakfast). No boat service to escape for lunch or dinner elsewhere unless you pay them... More

We stayed for three nights at the Royal Huahine. We splurged for the deep over the water bungalows and did not regret it. Be sure to ask for the “deep” overwater bungalows because there are three or four that are over the water right next to the shore. The rooms were quite large with a very large bathroom. In the... We went to the Royal Huahine (which some people there still refer to as, "Te Tiare Beach Resort") for our honeymoon. We originally booked a beach-front bungalow. After writing the staff for additional information, they found out we were coming for our honeymoon and upgraded us to the deep-water bungalow. How nice. I'll admit, the trip from the airport to... It was a really good place for a good holidays or week end. The personal is professional and kind , they were smiling all the time and were listening and helping us for all our asking. I recommend this hotel

Service was outstanding. Very friendly, helpful and courteous. Unit was average with some items dated, i.e. television set. Location was very private with properly cared for gardens. Snorkeling possibilities were satisfactory. Some units appear to require structural repairs, i.e. concrete pilings on overwater units.

It was great to stay there and get away from everything. Very relaxing but there is things to do if you want to venture out. My favorite was to rent a dinghy for the day and explore the lagoon. Most days we would get up make our own breakfast, I'm not much a breakfast eater and didn't want to opt... More

It was a great place to relax. My wife and i really enjoyed our stay in the over the water bungalow. The staff was nice and the grounds were well kept. We originally only booked 2 nights but ended up extending 3 more nights.

The problems started when they forgot to pick me up from the airport and stranded me there for almost an hour. Two phone calls were required for the driver to finally show up. From the airport there’s a 10 minute cab ride to arrive at the main town which is really a nothing, and then they pick you up for... More

We chose to spend a few days in Huahine because we thought it would be quieter and more authentically French Polynesian than Moorea and Bora Bora. We were right and we were not disappointed. We stayed in a bungalow over the deep water and it was everything I imagined - and more. It is a small resort -only about 12-14... More
