We anchored our catamaran and took the dinghy ashore to get to the restaurant for dinner. We should have spent more time while it was still light to check how we were going to get through the coral - it was difficult to negotiate in the dark! Having got there, we were sat at a beautiful wooden table with comfortable... More

We spent 2 nights at the lodge after a 6 day sail experince. It was so nice to have the large room and comfortable bed. We loved the wide verandah our room opened on to and the view of the sun setting over the lagoon from there. Our host was very helpful as were the staff. The restaurant, as well... More

Certainly your best choice on Raiatea. The owners Olivier and Karine are charming and helpful, the sunset on the pontoon is unbelievable. Rooms are very nice, food is very good ans all that for a very good price.

Very nice place. Comfortable, with nice rooms with outside porches and views of water. Raiatea doesn't have much beach - the Lodge has a long pier that is only for Lodge guests. You can snorkel off of it and sunbath on it. They have bikes and kayaks that you can use gratis. We took a bike hike for a couple... More

Best location on the island as it is located on the "mountain" side where the sunset is. From the arrival the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay as best as possible; even wifi is free which is rare on the islands. All rooms are luxurious with garden/lagoon view (though the lagoon is past the garden a couple... More

Location is just a few minutes by taxi from the airport or Apooiti Marina on the leeward side of the island. Hotel provided free bikes so we could go to a grocery store located between the marina and airport. Easy, level roads. Refrig in room to store snacks. We got the half board with breakfast and dinner. Fabulous food prepared... More

Oliver the host greeted us when we arrived and explained the services and showed us the hotel, my Dad and I loved the personal approach. We were taken up to our room which was of an average size but very clean and cosy. The balcony had a fabulous view of the hotel garden and the lagoon. The staff here are... More

While living aboard a 44 catamaran cruising the Society Islands with 3 other couples was wonderful, our greeting here when we came ashore was heavenly. The food was the best we had in any of the islands. The snorkeling and kayaking from the hotels dock were great.

+ warm welcome with drink & information from helpful staff + nice room with cool balcony and great view + free wifi, kajak, and bikes + fantastic breakfast (fruits, bread, yogurth, fresh juice, sweet...) and very good dinner (although not cheap, especially drinks) + fridge in the room and store nearby (20' by bike), just if you have a "tight"... We flew to Raiatea from Moorea, after our stay at the Sofitel. Raiatea lodge hotel does not compare to luxury hôtels in French Polynesia as it’s a small 3* property (there are no 4*/5* properties on Raiatea ), but we were not disappointed. The hotel is run by Olivier and his wife Karine, who are both very nice and will... More
