Was here in 1993 for a month. Was next door to the old Club Med. (no longer in existence) Hasn't changed, it was amazing again! I would recommend this to anyone. Inexpensive, you can cook for yourself, and close to everything. Easy to get around.

Very cheap and basic, right on the beach and with a relaxing meadow. Common kitchen, wide but not very well equipped. The manager is not too friendly. No excursion offered but you can go in the next door resort and take them there. Wi-fi free but only when reception is open.

Camping Nelson has a TON of potential, but the owners leave a lot to be desired. Very uncommunicative, and have a very wierd way of running things. Although it is one of the cheapest options on Moorea, they have bumped their prices from their website so double check this when booking. They have kitchen facilities but can only be used... More

It is cheap and offers Free WiFi. , and that is about it. The owners are some of the most unfriendly people I have met on my long trip. Sleeping is a problem because roosters make helluvanoise all night and when they stop a bunch of crazy dogs takes over and barks on and on. Earplugs is a must. The... More

We stayed 4 nights in a bengalow Pros - Cheapest accomodation in Moreea (~5000 CFP for a bengalow with a fan) - Hot shower, wifi, kitchen ... - Grocery, scooter rental, souvenir shops near the camping - Good location in Moorea for snorkeling (not so far from the motu) Cons - The mattress is really bad - The beach should... We had a lovely time in Moorea while staying at the Camping Nelson. The staff was always nice and happy to provide useful infos, such as where to hire kayaks or going food shopping. The structure is a bit old, but still looks quite nice and the sea view is simply amazing!!! Waking up every day with such a beautiful... More

I stayed here in 2012, had a good experience, so I returned in 2013. What a bad idea! Same owners, and upon my arrival, I was told my reservation was non-existent. Thank goodness I had my email confirmation with me. After a bit of an argument, they conceded and offered me a room that would not accommodate my needs...hmmm... Eventually,... More

We stayed in the Alto bungalow. It was rustic but charming. With its own garden overlooking the lagoon, table, chairs and a fridge plus a communal kitchen we felt it was a relaxing place to be self sufficient for a few day. The location of this place is great with shops, bar and restaurants just 5 mins walk away. The... More

I have stayed here twice before, in 2007 the last time. First, I was here alone, it was great, had a simple room, made friends, enjoyed swimming in the water. The second time, I came here with my gf, our room wasn't that comfortable, had thick walls and it was quite uncomfortable for us. And also, the price of the... More

My husband, daughter and I camped here last week for 8 nights. It was wonderful. The owner showed us around, was always kind and helpful. Location is wonderful and we will remember the beautiful sunsets every night. Good snorkelling right on the beach and easy access to shops and eateries. The shared showers and toilets were always clean and so... More
