When flying from the opposite side of the earth, literally in my case, to another country that is akin to a speck of dust in the deep South Pacific, there is one sure fire phrase that will make your bottom pucker up and make you wish you had astonishingly capacious undergarments and a bed in the nearest hospital cardiac unit;... Pension Te Miti was one of the best places I stayed during my 2 + month back packing trip through French Polynesia. The 4 bed dorm may be a little cramped and the bunks a little wobbly when full but very sociable - as opposed to the somewhat loneliness felt when I stayed in their other building down the road.... We were in Tahiti briefly for waves. Fred was very helpful in filling us with information about the island and helping us get our rental car. I accidentally left some luggage behind and he had it shipped (via plane) to our next stop in Rarotonga at no cost. I am so grateful.

I spent three days and nights at this pension, using it as a base to explore Tahiti before leaving for some scuba diving at an outlying island. The scoop: Accommodations: Very adequate. I had a single room by a shared bathroom that also opened into a common area/open air kitchen. Not the most private setting in the world, but curtains... More

We stayed the first 12 days at Pension Te Miti, out of 19 days in Tahiti. Fred and Christelle are very nice persons and make you feel you are very welcome and help you out with booking all your trips, car rentals and drop you off somewhere when you run into them on the street. They provide a very good... More

Stayed three nights here in Tahiti has part of a cheeky stop over on the way from Auckland to Toronto. While the owners were on leave at the time, their trusted friend "Ludo", proved to be a most considerate host. Picking me up from the Airport, Ludo provided me with a wealth of local knowledge, a comfortable room and even... More

We liked it here so much that we stayed twice during our month-long trip to Polynesia with our 10month-old baby. We preferred not to stay in Papeete itself (lacks charm, is too expensive, and polluted). Following Fred's advice, we rented a car for 5 days and toured around Tahiti Nui and Tahiti Iti. The car was an expense we hadn't... More

I arrived quite late from Auckland and had an arranged taxi waiting for me booked by one of the owners (Fred). Fred greeted me when I arrived, and since it was so late and I had booked a dorm room stay he decided to put me in a private room for the night for the sake of the other three... More

A great B and B with a family feel as the Owners live just next door where a great breakfast is served every morning. Nice fresh coffee, tea, fresh fruits, cereals and of course the mandatory fresh french baguettes with butter and jams. The owners are helpful and friendly and willing to please. We were there when Ann B was... More

This hostel is a place to feel home. They serve a very Nice breakfast and THE kitchen facilities are good. Is not quite luxury for sleepingroom, most of all because of THE many daymosquitos which are around. Small dorm, private rooms are better. We likje THE road into THE mainland, THE big road to THE beach is full of heavy... More
