I visited a few years ago, and I have fond memories of Pension Chayan. Yan, his wife and their girls were incredible hosts, and some of the warmest people I have met. They made the experience so memorable. The food was to DIE FOR, fresh albacore, coconut sauce, and amazing breakfasts. The lodging is simple, not luxurious, but clean, private... More

This is a great place to stay if you're visiting Teahupoo. Close enough to Taravao and snacks and close enough to the big break at the end of the road. Yan is really awesome! Overall they try really hard to accommodate every request!! I would totally go back once I have knocked a few other destinations off my list, and that's saying a lot!!... More

We stayed at this pension (small hotel or B&B) for 3 days in May, 2006. It was the low season and the place was not well publicized (we saw it as we drove by and decided to check it out). There are four bungalows but we were the only guests at the time. It was both an excellent value and... More
