This rustic lodge located on the Denali Highway was one of our favorite places we stayed. The hosts were very welcoming and the atmosphere was very relaxed. This was true Alaska, not the cruise ship company's version of it. Be sure to take the ATV tour and see a working gold mine!

My brother and I visited the lodge for 2 nights and enjoyed every minute. I even had a massage in a tent at 9 at night with the sun still up! Amazing! Food is included and is family style. You can eat any time you get in and that can vary widely because you are having fun touring the area... More

I found the Alpine Creek lodge while researching places to stay and things to do for our trip to Alaska last year. I have wanted to visit for as long as I can remember so I did have some notion of what I was hoping to find and dreaming of doing- getting out into "nowhere" Alaska and experiencing the wild... More

My family recently stayed at this lodge, and while we enjoyed many aspects of the stay, we have learned we are probably not the type of family that prefers to stay at a lodge. The owners did a great job answering my inquiries and questions both prior to and after we booked our reservations. The lodge was just as it... More

Thanks Carol for the review! We enjoyed having you, your husband and the kids stay with us in May!! Bob enjoyed exploring and playing with the kids while you all were here for a couple nights. The tour was great fun and we was great to see lots of critters. Sorry we didn't get to find fish and gold. It... More

Great people and very nice family. We was planning to stay only 1 day and ending up being for 3 days, we play games with Bob and his father and I won in the poker game and Bob was my partner in the night family game. Very nice view and great pictures. I do recommend to see how is life... More

This place was just great. The hospitality of Claude and family was just over the top. We all felt very, very welcome there and they were happy to show us around. We did not want to leave! Even though it has been a poor winter for snow we found that in their area there was snow everywhere. Wonderful snowmachining. We... More

I had a really wonderful stay at Alpine Creek Lodge. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating during our time there. The homemade food was out of this world too! I will definitely visit again as I had a really great experience here.

The lodge is also the home of the Bondy family and we enjoyed our 2 night stay with them. They are friendly folks that welcomed us and showed us how beautifully remote their piece of the world is. We became part of their family for 2 days, meeting some of their friends and being well fed by Chrissy and also... More

I feel kind of embarrassed writing this review since the staff of that lodge was kind and I don’t want to hurt their feelings. The reason that challenged me to write this review is the 40 “5 stars” reviews that led me to stay at this place. This is not a place you want to stop and stay for a... More

We are sorry your stay didn't meet your standards. We strive to make sure all of our guests are comfortable. It is disappointing that you assumed we had "Highway Workers" do the reviews. They were an archeological staff doing work out here. No reviews on here were posted by them, and it was a rare occurrence for us to have... More

My husband and I stayed with Jennifer, Claude, and Bob for 4 nights at the end of July, and loved it. We could not have imagined a more homey and friendly atmosphere. Jennifer, Claude, Bob, Chrissie and Mark did everything they could to make our stay a real success. The lodge is located about 2 hours from Denali National Park,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a wilderness lodge in remote Alaska. We are open year round, every day. Alpine Creek Lodge is on the Denali Highway, so travelers can get there in the summer easily. In the winter, the road is not plowed from October 1st to May 15th. During this period, snow machine, dog mushing, skiing, etc are the only way to get to us. This requires a 65 mile ride on the snow from Cantwell, and 68 miles from Paxson! We are on the side of the Alaska Range, and this is where you will find real Alaska! ... more   less
