I've stated here twice, the last even after a new hotel opened in Barrow. I just like the mom and pop feel of the King Eider Inn! And I love free coffee with flavored creamer each morning. Rooms are clean! Front desk staff friendly!

The convenience of walking across the street to the King Eider Hotel is great. We caught a plane that arrived about 10:05 am into Barrow with stops in Fairbanks & Prudhoe Bay from Anchorage and our room wasn't ready. We then signed everything for the room and Ford Explorer, left our luggage, and headed out to our favorite places. The... More

I stayed at the King Eider Inn a few times for business and found that it was a great hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. One of the stays I had a mini kitchenette and the other I didn't. It was nice to have the mini kitchenette because the price of the restaurants in the area are very expensive.... More

We just returned from a three night stay at the King Eider and this hotel far exceeded my expectations. The super friendly and helpful staff, the clean and comfortable rooms and the amazing hospitality are all reasons to stay here. The hotel has a very friendly cozy feeling, from the fire place and chess set in the lobby to taking... More

We stayed 2 nights at the inn, very close to the airport, but not noisy. The room was clean and decent size, I like the bathroom especially as the shower (is it not just a tube with shower curtain, it is more like a shower cubicle). The inn has free wifi, and a lot of tv channels. Jack (front desk)... More

We arrived expecting to stay at The Top Of The World Hotel but found it had burnt down. We ended up at the King Eider Inn. Jack, on the front desk, was a legend and helped us so much. Although we couldn't stay there the first night, he helped us find somewhere to stay and we stayed at The King... More

I spent the weekend at this hotel with my husband and we were pleasantly surprised with our accommodations. We didn't have high expectations, but the rooms were clean and quiet and the owners/operators were very nice and helpful. You have to take your shoes off in the lobby, but that helps keep everything clean and dry. The mattresses were a... More

Very nice, great place to stay in Barrow. For such a remote place this hotel is the best. The family that runs it does a great job with upkeep etc. Have stayed here at least once or twice a year for the past 15 years and have never had a bad night. Keep up the good work!

If this hotel was in the middle of Seattle, I would probably only give it 3 dots at most. It's not the Four Seasons. However, for rural Alaska this is in incredible place to stay. For starters, it is walking distance to/from the airport, even with a good amount of luggage. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel... More

King Eider Inn is a alternative to stay while in Barrow. Conveniently located directly across from the airport. The manager and his family are very friendly and run a nice place. The outside doesn't look that impressive, but then again, nothing looks impressive on the outside in Barrow. The inside is very cozy - nice lobby, warm and comfortable. Rooms... More
