This gem of a bed and breakfast is convenient to everything in San Jose. Clean, well-appointed and secure. The staff is just wonderful and do all they can to make you feel at home. They can have a driver meet you at the airport and transport you to the place. The continental breakfast is typical, but you can also opt... More

We started our trip through Costa Rica in San Jose where we slept in this beautiful hotel. It is kind of a small family hotel with adorable people who make you really feel at home. It has nothing to do with the standard hotels you might know. Fresh fruit and fiendly service for breakfast. And if you decide to have dinner... More

Casa 69 is a great place to stay, especially when traveling by yourself. There's a secure entry & exit which made it a really safe place. All of the staff was very nice & accommodating. I thought it was a great a great location where everything is within walking distance so that was a bonus! The only I didn't give... More

Perfect first two nights in San Jose. Our room had a king and queen bed, with our private lanai. Internet, free calls to the USA, and breakfast. Not to mention the fridge, which we loaded up. Staff is friendly and the price is very affordable. Would highly recommend. Bar next door was very popular. Only con for me is the... More

Walkable distance to the city center, museums, restaurants and national theater makes this little please a perfect base for staying in the Capitol. Few things to be aware if you considering renting room at Casa69: place located in the middle of district with active night life. Two night clubs are located on the same block and about 5 bars in... Clean, affordable and close to city attractions where you can walk to by foot such as the museums and markets. A continental breakfast is included with the room fee (fruit, bread and coffee). The owner, Donna is very nice and gave us a lot of pointers to make the most of our stay. The only Con was my room was... More

During my trip to Costa Rica in March 2014, I was looking for a conveniently located B&B which was close to all of the major attractions in the city. Casa 69 fit the bill perfectly! It is just a 7-8 min walk to the National Museum/Artisans Market, and a 15 min walk to the National Theater area. Dining/drinking options abound... More

As I had read in previous recurring comments, the owner systematically refuses customers who have booked through Bookings.com, on the ground that the price shown on the reservation printed by the customers displays the 13% VAT. Her strategy is to accept those reservations to fill her rooms daily, but if she has had customers without reservations come to her before... More

Unfortunately we did have a very bad start when I informed you that there is a 13% tax on our room. You continued raising your voice and shouting even when I showed you the e-mail we sent you regarding prepayment for your room to confirm your reservation. You stated you never received it and then you told me you know... More
