This is a perfect hotel for a one-night stay. It's friendly, quaint, and modest. I can sometimes be a little unnerving, staying in the heart of downtown San Jose, with all of the noise and people. The breakfast (free) was substantial despite the tiny space!

Nice looking, pretty grounds, but wedged between railroad tracks and a bus station. The city never sleeps and you might find it hard, too. And if you hate looking at the homeless living in boxes you might want a different place. The staff was super nice!

I ended up staying here just because my usual San Jose hotel was full. It's in a good location, just a few blocks from the central commercial area - one block from China Town. The two rooms that I saw were well equipped (Sky TV, en suite, comfy mattresses/pillows) - and to have a hot shower was bliss (after the... More

The hotel doesn't look so nice from the outside but when you enter you discover a small backyard with a little pool and lots of plants. Very chilled to have breakfast there. Rooms are ok, nothing special but clean and spacious. The staff was unbelievable friendly! We arrived early in the morning from the airport and they had rooms for... More

This hotel is within walking distance of the city center. However, do not expect a nice environment to walk through. As the rest of San José and Costa Rica, fences and barbed wire are all over. Same thing for the hotel; you need to ring the bell before you can get in. This makes you think you are in a... More

The hotel itself is well maintained, the rooms are good ( quite basic, but really clean. ). There was no airconditioning, but the fan did it's work enough to keep us cool enough to sleep. The breakfast is simple ( some fresh fruits, bread, cornflakes, eggs, rice .. ). The advantage is that you find yourself in front of a... More

The location of the hotel is very nice. Easily within walking distance of San José's downtown. The room was very basic with a comfortable bed, small table and TV. No a/c but the fan cooled things off. The front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. Bathroom was a nice size. There was a good breakfast served.

Located near the center of san josé, cheap but clean an basic breakfast, fast wofi in the room, a bit old fashioned but quite stylish, grat view over the city, friendly staff, worth it for non-backpackers or a city trip!

I liked the hotel but a few things were bad. First,I am aware that you can not fix the street noise but I am a light sleeper and I can hear it and I need my sleep. Maybe put new windows in your hotel. After all, people wish to sleep in the room. The bathrooms had a black mold in certain... More
