Hostel Bukuo was the first hostel I've stayed in and my boyfriend and I's first destination in Costa Rica. The employees were nice and laid back. They don't take reservations, just on the honest system. They were good, it was in a good neighborhood. They told us the wrong time for the direct bus to manual antonio. I found Bekuo in the new Lonely Planet guide, and am so glad I did. What a cool and relaxing place. Their garden is amazing, and the whole place just feels like home. I've stayed at some other hostels in San Jose, even right by Bekuo, and wish I never had. more
