This was the last stay on an Intrepid tour and was without doubt the worst stop of the whole tour. From the outside the place looks lovely, and the lobby is well set out .... it's only when you get into the rooms that the problems start occurring. Not hot water at all, a strange musty smell, and the sheets... More

My boyfriend and I was on an intrepid tour that finished at this hotel which had one night included and we also booked two extra nights additional to this - big mistake. 1) The hotel is infested with cockroaches and so we didn't sleep at all the 2nd night and actually had to book another hotel for our final night... This place has soooooo much potential. Here's what I do like about it. It's cozy (small) and at 10pm the lights go out. (Which is what makes it cozy) . The problem is that there is always something wrong with one room. If it ain't one thing, it's another. (I have stayed here several times) If they got a wifi... More

I booked this hotel through our travel agency. It was a cheap rate, good location and the pictures looked really nice. After booking, I checked the reviews and saw that it had mostly 1 or 2 stars. I tried to cancel the booking, but unfortunately it was not refundable. I wish I had've taken the loss and booked somewhere else.... More

Let me begin by saying if I had done my research and read some previous Trip Advisor reviews, I would not be writing this unfortunate review about this motel. If I could give this a zero rating, I would. Our arrangements were made by at third-party and I made the mistake of not reading any reviews own my own and... More

Alright, I had two weeks to kill before meeting up with my tour group. Using www.hotelscombined.com, I scored 11 nights @ $50Aud a night. The intent was to relax, maybe work out a little and practice Spanish before moving into a few nights of luxury and meeting up with the tour. Inca Real is in a decent location, 10min walk... More

Inexplicably our excellent travel company booked us into this dreadful place for two nights. From the outside this hotel looks attractive. Walk into the pleasant small atrium with room doors off the ground floor and two upper galleries, furnished with easy chairs and sofas, and you're full of hope. Go to your room, though, and hope begins to crumble. No... More

Only stay here if it's cheap and 1 or 2 nights at most. Musty rooms as there's no ventilation direct to the outside air. Rooms vent into an atrium that's open at the top a bit, enough so you hear the music from across the road and have light waking you. Breakfast is a greasy egg and 2 small slices... More

Dark, mold smelling room, with used dirty sheets (and no one who would change them). Breakfast= cold coffee, 2 toast and one scrambled egg with ham (and no possibility to get eggs without ham for vegetarians). One of the more expensive places we stayed at during our three week trip (stayed mostly in hostels) and definitely the worst!

ah ha ha WoW Our introduction 2 Costa Rica, sorta. After that loco taxi driver confirmed, we did not have reservations, at our preferred location, he took us on a 40,000 colones, or $80 US ride, & finally dropped us us off, at the above location. I was dizzy by then, I needed a smoke & a beer. He must... More
