We stayed here just for the first night of our trip before we left to Tortuguero early the next morning. We arrived pretty late. The guy at the front desk woke up from his sleep to let us in. He only spoke Spanish but he was very sweet and friendly. The room had two double beds and it was spacious... More

We had a room reserved at a different hotel but it got booked to someone else so they sent us here. Great find, close to restaurants and main avenues so its easy to access and the "Paseo Gastronomico" has a bunch of restaurant option. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good and we had a great experience with the staff. Rodolfo,... More

Small hotel with 10 small guest rooms. Room and common areas were clean. Wifi was available and breakfast was served. There were 3 breakfast options and I went with the local gallo pinto and fresh fruit, which were excellent and quite filling. Staff was helpful. The hotel is located on a quiet street. It was 2 blocks down the road... More

We stayed only one night in this hotel before going on our trip through Costa Rica. The hotel is located in a quiet street, some distance from downtown San Jose. Near it is a railroad and from 6 o'clock in the morning you can regularly hear the honking from passing trains, but that's not such a big problem. The welcome... More

We stayed as a family of 5. The rooms were quiet, the breakfast was good, the staff was wonderful. We had to leave at 4am for an early flight and leaving the hotel was easy as was the drive to the airport. The hotel is hard to find but worth the effort. It is walking distance to downtown San Jose... More

A beautiful home away from home. People who run are very friendly and helpful. It has a beautiful garden and lots of great restaurants around the corner on Calle 33. Wifi was good the whole time. I stayed there for a whole week. The only missing thing was that they didn't have a map of San Jose on offer.

It's true that loud train whistles start early on weekdays (not on the weekend), but if you or your kids are early risers you'll be up anyway. The staff are fantastic, the place is clean, and there is ample hot water (very hot!) Great location close to town, but in a quieter neighborhood. Beds aren't the greatest, but by far... More

Cute little b&b ~ fun, cheerful décor. Lovely garden area out back, where guests eat breakfast. Would stay here again. Not sure about the area as we did not do much exploring. No swimming pool or fitness area but was required to rate below (hence the low rating).

First time I've ever experienced bedbugs. Ughh! The itch is terrible. This hotel is bad. The train starts blowing the whistle at 5:30am and again every 15 minutes after that there is another train. They told me that they emailed me to confirm my reservations, but I didn't respond and they held the room anyway. I'm not sure why they... More

Rooms clean and spacious, the interior is ageing. The hotel is not far from the main road and in a save area with some good restaurants. In the night it's quite, but from 6 o'clock in the morning there are passing noisy trains (it's not only the trains: they're blowing the horn every second because of the railway crossings, so...
