Me and my husband have called to make the reservation the day before and they didn't told us that there would be salsa lessons ultill 3am that actually looked more like a crazy party with prostitutes comming and going. We went down to the lobby to complain, and they told us that the music was untill 12am and it wasn't... More

All the good reviews are scam. It was horrible 2 nights. the water in the bathtub take 2 to 3 hours to clear. The cold water sink didn't work. Bugs all over the bathroom. We didn't have enough towels only 2 big shower ones. We called at 10 to get room service it was close. Homeless people and young gangs... More

I stayed here many time while in the Peace Corps. The Dutch has a very good location and the rooms are pretty decent value. There is a casino on the first floor and a bar/restaurant/disco on the second. This probably isn't the best place for families or people looking for a quiet getaway. However, it might be ideal for people... More

Don't stay here on your honeymoon...but if you are just spending one or two nights in San Jose before you hit the Costa Rican coast or countryside, you could do worse. The location is right in the center of San Jose. It's in a good location and you are just steps away from shopping, restaurants etc. I was able to... More

Having read the reviews on trip advisor our expectations were low when we arrived but were pleasantly suprised by both the customer service we received from the friendly (and mostly bilingual) staff and spacious, clean room. Having requested a room on the top floor when we arrived we escaped the noise from the disco which could clearly be heard from... More

I cannot say it enough, this is the worse hotel in San Jose, I taught myself not to go by reviews here just over price, but I have stayed at better hotels at $10 a night that this one would even compare to!!! The breakfast is pathetic, the rooms are pathetic, and they don't even pay their Satellite bill so... More

After reading my review, you will wonder why and the world did I ever consider staying at this place. I read reviews that suggested it wasn't bad for the price. In my mind, it isn't worth any price. Top ten reasons to go elsewhere: 1. We were in room 556. There was a sewer gas leak that they wouldn't or... More

I booked this hotel because of a discounted price on Expedia. We paid $39 instead of the regular $60. No way would I recommend this hotel at $60 per night, but for $39 per night, I'd say its a decent value. It was only after booking the hotel and being charged in full that I read all the reviews (my... More

I stayed there in October, the rainy season so the price was very low - $40 a night after all fees and taxes. It's a very no-frills place, however, do consider all - you might like this deal a lot. Cons: sleazy and seedy looking public spaces, un-uniformed staff may not speak enough English to answer your questions, you may... More
