We were staying in southern Costa Rica for the bulk of our trip, but our flight into CR was arriving late at night and our departing flight was leaving early in the morning so we stayed at this hotel the day of our arrival and again the night before our departure since it is conveniently located only 20 minutes from... I was visiting with my daughter in Nosara and as the arrival of my flight didn't tie in with the flight to Nosara I stayed overnight at this hotel. I can't praise the hotel and staff enough. They organised my pick up from San Jose airport which was totally stress free. Met by a representative who gave me a badge... More

This hotel has been such a treat to stay at. I was 10 times happier here than I was at La Mansion Inn in Manuel Antonio! It has an Old City Quarter charm, warm and friendly vibe. They may not have a pool which is an easy thing to overlook. We had the chance to eat from the restaurant and... More

Well we stayed one night at the very end of our trip and it is fantastic, the service is awsome and there's no need to go anywhere if you don't need to.We ate out for dinner and came back and had cocktails at the bar, fantastic cocktails and a great jaquzzi on the roof that we visited the next morning before our... This summer, my husband and I returned to Costa Rica to visit my host family. While we were there, we stayed one night at Grano de Oro to celebrate our one year anniversary. The staff is amazing and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best experience. A staff member surprised us with an anniversary dessert... More

We stayed here the first and last night of our stay in CR and bothe nights we were struck by the friendly, high caliber staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the character of the grounds. This place is a great value and I can't recommend enthusiastically enough!

Food is well presented with lots of variety, waiters are friendly and attentive, and the food court is the perfect setting with an open roof terrace and an open bar. There is also a rooftop terrace with a jacuzzi which make the hotel the perfect luxurious spot. In addition, rooms are luxurious and spacious, cleaning staff are excellent, and I... More

I would give this hotel a five; unfortunately, the location was a bit scary. The rooms were very nice, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The outstanding restaurant made it worthwhile to stay at this hotel. The food was beyond delicious. The presentation was superb, service was exceptional and price was perfect. Easily for the dinner we had (four... More

This was our last stop before taking off for home....I only wish we could have stayed a couple of nights. It was an amazing hotel....the hospitality we were offered the minute we walked in was incredible. The decor was gorgeous...especially in the bar and restaurant. The rooms (we had a family suite) was so clean, comfortable and welcoming....I didn't want... More

Two stops here meeting other friends pre-post a dive trip. standard room cramped and also noisy - street & hotel. comfortable bed - bathroom a bit dated and also cramped. King room much more spacious, better bed and bigger bathroom - seperate shower would be good though. hotel service excellent as is the restaurant; great food for breakfast & dinner.
