We stayed here two nights and never regretted our choice. Blocks from downtown but still quiet. A charming old mansion converted into a hotel. Lots of great outdoor space. With a hot tub and pool. Never felt unsafe walking around the neighborhood at night. The owner is actively involved and is genuinely interested in making sure you have the best... More

Hi Ryan, wonderful review and thank you so much. Yes we are a nice quiet haven from the outside world, but walking distance to everything. Step in and enjoy old world Costa Rica charm. I am working on the restaurant and will continue to make it better. Fine is good so far but not acceptable to me. But still it... More

Quiet street, and unexpected accommodations. Felt secure, thanks to the wrought iron gates surrounding the property entrance. Generous bedroom and bathroom room dimensions were spotless. Stayed here our first night in Costa Rica before embarking on wide open adventures. Delicious breakfast prepared to order included with our stay served by the beautiful enclosed pool area. Meet Thomas, the owner, if... More

Hotel Santo Tomas is a quiet retreat from the hectic streets, close to several museums, parks and cafes. The room was spacious and clean, the staff professional and friendly and the price reasonable. Breakfast comes free with the room, somewhat limited options, but at the same time nothing to complain about. We stayed for one night and had an overall... More

The Santo Thomas hotel was a perfect start to the holiday. It is close to the centre of San Jose, Costa Rica, the room was beautiful, the whole hotel was clean and the little swimming pools, slide and jacuzzi were great fun. Thanks.

Hotel Santo Tomas is in the heart of San Jose, yet offers a quiet retreat from the bustling, noisy city outside. The rooms are very clean & comfortable w/ a small outdoor pool & a really nice little bar where you will also get a complimentary breakfast. Carlos is an excellent, friendly bartender & will take good care of you,... More

We stayed two nights at Stano Tomas. The staff were friendly, rooms were very spacious and clean with old-world charm. It was relaxing and very quiet for being in the city. Other travelers were friendly and talkative at the outdoor hotel restaurant. Meals were fine; nothing to write home about, but not bad, and breakfast is free. My son loved... More

When our taxi driver pulled up to the hotel, I was wondering if this was a good idea, but upon entering, I was very happy we had chosen to stay here! Hi Sailormom, Wonderful that you and your grand-kids had a relaxing and refreshing experience here. I really do appreciate your comment s about the location. Stayed here twice. The best place to stay when you fly in and plan your trip around the country. And a place that feels like a second home when you come back from you adventures.
