I would just like to take time to thank some of the staff individually. Priscilla and Cynthia have helped me at the front desk many times ,every stay. Dayanna and Maritza, in the back are great and really know their stuff. Everyone from the owner down has made me feel comfortable and happy. The housekeeping , security , cooks and... More

Decent area if you need to be downtown. But, this isn't a hotel in the true sense of the word. It's a cat house.I don't think managment disputes that. How can they. If there weren't girls for hire on the premises it would be empty. Other then that, attentive staff, good security, lively bars, good place to watch sports, bar... More

Would you like to go back to your college days and stat at a fraternity house? Except the brothers are all 45-70 years old? And there are working girls bugging you for a a bed contract? Then you'll love this place. Whatever it once was wasn't a hotel. Modified to have rooms but it is a LOUD bar with rooms... More

My most recent visit was just a few days ago, but I have been in the Sportsmens Lodge (SL) many, many times. If you're looking at all of the reviews on the SL, you will notice that the only negative reports are from those who were surprised by the "working girls", or those who ended up in the wrong room.... We only stayed one night, didn't eat here or do the bar scene but the layout was nice, like an old world mansion. The bathroom was complete with a modern toilet, stand-up shower, Jacuzzi for two but lacked an exhaust fan. With casinos and cafes just blocks away I'd stay again even though the rooms were a little noisy; the... More

Sportsmans Logde is a great place to watch a game, have a few drinks or eat dinner. The burgers, are the absolutely best in Costa Rica ( imported Peruvian 1/2 lb patties), There are hookers there, but they are passive and won't bother you, ( unlike the Del Rey ) The owners are Gringos , the place is clean and... Stayed a coupla days last week, 6/5 &6/8, had enjoyable visit. Rooms were good, clean with a very nice staff. Most everything is there that you could want, food, drink and sports on TV. Everything else like museums and gambling is a short walk or taxi ride away. The only negative was that the cook wanted to put Thousand Island... More
