Family member recently completed an excellent 2 1/2 month stay here. We did not know what to expect in San Jose and feel so very fortunate that he stayed at the Casa Cambranes. What so many others said is true--a wonderful place to stay, with Carlos and Nati more like friends and family than staff. All the little issues you... More

When we arrived in Costa Rica we didn't have any reservations so we told the cab driver that we wanted to find a place in a nice community, reasonably priced, and near a shopping mall if possible. The cab driver at the airport says "I know just the place." Wow!! I wished I had given the cab driver a bigger... More

I spent 4 weeks at Casa Cambranes with Carlos and Nati, and I feel lucky to have chosen this hotel as my main hotel. The hotel is located near a grocery store, quality restaurants, museums, Magaly Theater, dentists, San Pedro Mall. and a few universities. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, breakfast is served every morning, and customized... More

Casa Cambranes is a small, but cozy hotel. Hotel administration recently changed, but it remains a family owned place and people are extremely friendly. Rooms are basic, but clean and location is perfect if visiting San Jose center or the East side of the city.

The Casa Cambranes is a fantastic family run hotel in San Pedro. I stayed there for a week in April 2014 while studying at the CRLA language school. Carlos and Natalia went out of their way to make me feel welcome by showing me around, helping me practice my Spanish and even taking me to their local bar to meet... More

I stayed at Casa Cambranes late October 2012. It was excellent. The owner/manager Don Julio as well as his staff were very attentive, the rooms were beautiful (I was given a choice), and it was very quiet. In fact, I had the best sleep in a long time. I didn't rent a car and walked everywhere, due to the hotel's... More

I stayed for 1 week in this hotel for business and had a really good experience here. The staff was very nice and helpful from the beginning until the end. For breakfast you can choose if you want a normal international breakfast, or something typical from Costa Rica. As you can expect, the coffee was great as well. They adviced... More

My partner and I spent two nights at the Casa Cambranes. I chose it for the location. It is close to the "non downtown" places I was interested in (Los Yoses) but off the main thoroughfare, so quiet. The man who greeted us didn't speak great English, but he was most accommodating and pleasant and quickly took care of anything... More

I recently stayed at Casa Cambranes Lodge in San Jose, Costa Rica. It was affordable, clean, very conveniently located near the City, but in a very safe area. I felt very safe and was able to walk to a grocery store, restaurants, and the San Jose downtown area. It was also reasonably priced. The best part of my visit were... More

While attending to hearings at the Interamerican Human Rights Court, three colleagues and I stayed at Casa Cambranes, just beside the Tribunal. Choosing this place proved to be the right decision. It's clean and comfortable. The staff is amazing, always willing to help - all of them with no exception were nice, polite and extremely friendly. The owner himself is... More
