We arrived very late at night at Casa Lima. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and a great deal for the price. The morning breakfast is typical for a Costa Rician B&B- fresh tropical fruit, fruit juice and homemade biscuits. It's also a treat to meet their pet monkey and macaw.

The staff is very kind and helpful. The building in nicely kept, in general. It provides a quaint atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and reasonably priced. The neighborhood is nice and seems quite safe. It is just a couple block from the US Embassy & consulate, which was my main purpose for going to San Jose from where I was... More

Enjoyed my stay at Casa Lima - service was excellent - staff especially Andrey was extremely helpful. My Spanish was non-existent so the fact that they spoke English was a great help. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again!

We stayed at Casa Lima our first and last nights in Costa Rica. The staff is extremely helpful and make you feel totally at home. The location is in a nice neighborhood and I loved the courtyard. We enjoyed the animals and waterfall in the courtyard. Don Kiko was great entertainment. Christian was a joy and extremely helpful. The breakfasts... More

We stayed at Casa Lima on our way in and out of Costa Rica. The B&B is located in a nice quiet neighborhood and provides a relaxing sitting area, I enjoyed the sounds of their waterfall! We had fun watching Don Kiko and his antics. Christian was a bright and cheerful face for our morning meal and gave great directions... More

The service is great and all people have been very helpful and friendly at all times. Nice decoration in the patio. The rooms are furnished in a nice manner, the only problem are the mattresses that are not very good.

Owner/host Nelson is in the right business. Casa Lima is a gem! Good location in an upscale location, within a short walk to a bit of shopping, and restaurants. Several of our fellow guests were repeat visitors, and that speaks most highly of a hotel. We can't recommend this place loudly enough, and you will have to go there to... More

We planned to stay a full week at this cute little B&B but checked out after one night for a number of reasons. There were no really handy places to eat dinner as this B&B is in a residential neighborhood, and although younger more fit people might not think a 3-6 block uphill walk is a barrier, it sure was... My girlfriend and I had another fantastic time at Casa Lima, celebrating my birthday on Valentine's Day. Thanks to the owners Judie and Nelson for their warm hospitality and great recommendations, we toured the spectacular views of Arenal Volcano while sipping Cuba Libres at the Hot Springs Resort. We also enjoyed the private beach at Tulemar Resort in the heart... More

My husband and I spent nine days in San Jose to get paperwork done to apply for residency, do some banking, etc. This charming small hotel is near the American Embassy, so it was the perfect location for us. The clean and comfortable rooms, the excellent breakfast, the helpful and friendly staff, and of course, Nelson, the extraordinary host, were... More
