Loved The White House so much went back three times on one trip. Then again on a subsequent visit to Coast Rico. There’s nothing like this place. We where blessed to stay in several different room and had a superb experience each time. In fact on one trip we extended our stay just to experience it. Hung on our huge... More

Great stay, service and location of the hotel is great. Food is outstanding and definitely something to try even if you don't plan on staying in this hotel. The view takes your breath away. This place is good for couples and business people, its quite and nice.

My wife and I stayed here after getting into San Jose at 7:30PM and before heading to Manuel Antonio the following day. I made the mistake, and my wife let me know it, of not getting a GPS with the rental car but trusting my good old fashioned map. Not a good idea. I would recommend staying somehwere else if... More

The Building and views are outstanding but sadly that's where it stops. We had flown 18 hours and when we arrived at 10pm we was told the Restaurant was closed but we could order a drink from the bar, exhausted, we went straight to bed. The room was huge but very dated and the toiletries dispenser was empty. We spent... More

This was our overnight stay in San Jose after a late flight in, before a trip to Arenal the next morning. The place was arranged by our guide as one with scenic views. It did have nice views of SJ, but the condition of the hotel and rooms is abysmal. The rooms are filthy, smokey, and bathrooms are very old... More

We booked what was listed (and priced) as a 5-star hotel. Well, maybe a few years ago. Seems they changed owners about 6 years ago and it looks like they haven't done a thing to it since. We checked in and walked past ripped carpets and smudged walls to a non-airconditioned room 3 stories up with no elevator. I informed... More

The place is amazing and offers some great views but the fact that they act like a 5 star hotel and are not really poked us the wrong way. Our bill was way too high with ridiculous overpriced entrees and drinks. The worst part was the fact that the owner and his friends party there with hookers and cause their... More

What a beautiful place! Very personal. The rooms are large, the beds are huge, and the bathrooms are beautiful. Although, it was very pricey. I don't think it's worth the money to be honest with you. BUT the staff will treat you like you are important, and are VERY accommodating. The only complaint is that our wake-up call never happened.... More

Had booked and confirmed the White House Helicopter for the 30 minute flight to the coast for fishing. It is a three hour drive over rough roads. The White House Owner decided he would rather go fishing and took the helicopter before we got there and then to top it off, had his staff tell us that it was broke!... More

What a view. There are very few hotels in this area that would be considered of the White House caliber. All of the rooms are named after Presidents, and the building is quite impressive when you drive up - it does look like a mini White House! Our room had a shared balcony, and it was quite spacious. There are... More
