For our honeymoon we decided to backpack through Costa Rica. We flew into San Jose, and after reading reviews we decided upon Casa Isabella as our start point. We came in earlier than check-in so our room wasn't ready but Roberto, the owner, let us relax in the lobby until the time of our check-in. Roberto was the most accommodating... More

Our 2 week stay at the Casa Isabella in Escazu, CR in March 2015, was wonderful. We stayed in room 2, the junior suite. Everything was nice and clean and the room had ample space. The bed was super comfy and the shower was awesome too but one of the best parts of any B&B or hotel is the staff... More

Casa Isabella is a beautiful house in one of the nice neighborhood close to San Jose. We stayed in the junior suite and it was very comfortable. Our daughter stayed in the room next door and that room was very nice too. Breakfast was excellent and the manager friendly and helpful. The only issue is finding the place! Why don't... More

Thanks for your nice review! Being in a residential area, we are aware there are a few landmarks that can be used to find us, but we do provide assistance: for every reservation in our welcoming email we suggest taking our transportation to the hotel or we ask if there is any help needed. We are also in google maps,... More

It was a pleasure to stay here. I spent 4 days at Casa Isabella at the start of my visit and one more at the end of my 2 weeks stay in Costa Rica. Only a 20 minute ride to the airport, it is perfectly located for day trips to the mountains or beaches, and a short cab ride to... More

First of all let me just say that my room was huge, and beautiful, and had no creepy crawlers which is a big deal considering I had been sharing my former bed and breakfast in another part of Costa Rica with a gecko and a monstrous mosquito. I spent most of my vacation in the Carribean part of CR and... More

This a a charming Bed and Breakfast place. It deserves it rating. This is a quaint little place in Escazu. The place is quiet and relaxing, and with just 5 rooms, you would feel like you have the place to yourself. I stayed in room 5 and it is a big room with two Beds. Roberto was very accommodating. I... Positives--Vanessa met me at Casa Bella around 10:30 pm and was very nice. Entrance nicely landscaped. Great Wi Fi. Negatives-- Very difficult to find for all my taxi drivers. Only person working there as Roberto out of town was cook Karin who did not speak English and was VERY unfriendly. One afternoon there was a young man who was very... More

This customer is right, he suffered the consequences of a shortage of labor during 3 days, that was unexpected and created a challenge in our operation. We apologyze since we know one of the highlights of Casa Isabella has been the personalized customer service, that we could not provide the majority of the time for this customer. We did check... Excellent place to stay (20 mins drive from airport). Roberto is extremely friendly and helpful. We booked our car rental through him and it went very very well. The house is beautiful, as was our room. Very spacious. Enough room for our little girl to run around in. Breakfast was delicious and Roberto recommended a fun place for dinner. All... More

Stayed 3 separate nights at Casa Isabella recently. Very comfortable, rooms were large, well furnished, good beds, enough hot water, Karin fixed us nice hot breakfasts. Roberto helped us plan our entire Costa Rican adventure - transfers, guides, lodge accomodations, rental car, call phones, the whole bit. 4 of us had a great week birding, the others went to the... This is an easy review...just excellent. The room (#2) was large, clean and came with a beautiful view of San Jose. The room was equipped with a small refrigerator, screens and TV. Free WiFi. Large bathroom. Room 2 is on the main level and away from the street but the street is such a quite residential street that I doubt... More
