- Room had a dank smell from humidity. - Air conditioner made high-pitched rattling noise. - Secure parking lot is tiny (too small) lot across a side street. You need to open and close the gate yourself, using the padlock. - The restaurant is open-air, which may sound nice, but can lead to unwanted animal visitors.

I stayed at the BW to save money, as the hotels in Manuel Antonio seemed tired and expensive. I do regret doing this. The arrival into Quepos really was underwhelming as the town is beyond unattractive. The hotel is on the main drag with bars and restaurants, and has a small casino. As my wife waited in the car, she... More

I stayed there for 5 nights last week. Positive points: Good, large bathroom. Nice view of the garden/inside swimming pool Nice looking lobby Internet access Friendly staff Negative points Very very noisy hotel (there are many bars around), I could hear loud music until 3-4am everyday. Outdated and smelly rooms. Old, uncomfortable beds Continental breakfast was very poor The city... More

I was highly impressed with this hotel. You never know what your getting with a Best Western, but this one exceeded my expectations. The place is clean, clean, clean. Daily maid service with chocolates on my pillow! One complaint- the shower did not drain well and I asked for service, which was done, it drained better but not completely. I... More

A little outdated rooms, but ok hotel. Nice pool. At the restaurant there were a lot of wesps, so be careful choosing your table at breakfast. Quepos is not a real cool place to stay, but take the bus to Manuel Antonio if you want to go to the beach. Leaves at the bus station every 30 minutes.

I had a bird's eye view of the New Year's eve fireworks from the balcony. At times I thought they were coming right at me! There were bands playing in the street the whole weekend so this isn't a quiet place. I could hear the music in my room but I very much enjoyed that. Great street party and everyone... More

If you're not going to stay up in or near Manuel Antonio Nat'l Park then BW is a good option because it is cheaper, the rooms are clean and the AC works well. Restaurant has good food and fair menu selection. Great waitresses and very helpful staff-most speak ingles. Probably best american-style hotel in town. Pool is small and gets... More

A great place to stay for 1-2 days. Simple rooms. Free Continental breakfast, but you can also purchase extras to go with it. Wi-Fi works best closer to the casino area. I had to open my curtains, and sit near the window to get a stronger signal.

We stayed here for 3 nights, Mar 16-19, 2009, and could not have been happier. We got an internet, senior rate of $58.50 inc brkfast and that ended up being about the same price as some of the other, less desirable hotels in Quepos. We had rm. 216, an inside room with balcony opening to the atrium so it was... More

Look, Manuel Antonio and Quepos are pretty expensive for lodging. I stayed here with a buddy of mine for 3 nights for a total of 180 bucks all taxes and breakfast included. It is in a perfect downtown location. No, it is not on the beach, but take the bus to the beach for like 50 cents or take a... More
