This was my 10 year old's favorite place we stayed on our whole trip. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They arranged to get our laundry done locally while we were hiking in Corcovado, and stored our extra luggage for us. the bikes to tour the town were nice and the views from our balcony were amazing.

My husband and I stayed here before and after our hiking/trekking trip to Corcovado National Park. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Internet was fast and the AC was perfect. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. He allowed us to use his 2 bikes in order for us to see the town. He also suggested good restaurants... More

We had a two bedroom, one shared bathroom, cabin directly on the bay at Puerto Jimenez. The site was great and at high tide, the swimming was good. Macaws flew past our cabin at least twice a day. The room as clean and functional and the air conditioning worked. The pool was small and the jets didn't work. Staff were... More

The rooms were great for families. They had plenty of space for all of us. It is a bit expensive if you have kids though. They charge you an extra $25 per kid even after you pay more for the larger room. But the staff is so nice and the rooms and hotel is definitely the best in Puerto Jimenez.

A friend recommended this place and I am grateful he did. Extremely reasonably priced, fantastic location on the water, super clean and comfortable rooms with fans and AC. Woke up to the sun on the Bay and Macaws having breakfast in the tree tops over my Cabena. One on the staff walked by with a machete and asked if I... More

Cabinas Jimineez is centrally located and right at the small bay. Pick the right room, and you can walk from your terrace right into the sea. The rooms are clean and well equipped. They have free bikes and kayaks, the mangrove forest is nearby. The owner John is a friendly American, the staff is very friendly and helpful, even the... More

My brother and I spent the nights before and after our Corcovado National Park trek here. The air conditioning worked well, the rooms were reasonably clean (a bug, lizard, or crab here and there, but you're in nature after all), and the wifi was surprisingly fast. The free bike and kayak usage was a great touch, and they were helpful... More

Thank you for your nice review of Cabinas Jimenez and that you enjoyed the free use of the Kayaks and Bikes. I am pleased that you didn't mind the lizzard [ gecko ] and the crab.... I also found the cause of the funny smell and have taken care of it. Thank you for letting me know. Hope to see... More

My fiancé and I stayed here for three nights total, one night on our way down to Carate /Matapalo and two nights on our way back before we returned home. We could not have picked a more perfect spot. The hotel is well kept, adorably decorated, and very central to town. We stayed in room 10...the BEST! You have a... More
