Cabinas Jimineez is centrally located and right at the small bay. Pick the right room, and you can walk from your terrace right into the sea. The rooms are clean and well equipped. They have free bikes and kayaks, the mangrove forest is nearby. The owner John is a friendly American, the staff is very friendly and helpful, even the... More

My brother and I spent the nights before and after our Corcovado National Park trek here. The air conditioning worked well, the rooms were reasonably clean (a bug, lizard, or crab here and there, but you're in nature after all), and the wifi was surprisingly fast. The free bike and kayak usage was a great touch, and they were helpful... More

Thank you for your nice review of Cabinas Jimenez and that you enjoyed the free use of the Kayaks and Bikes. I am pleased that you didn't mind the lizzard [ gecko ] and the crab.... I also found the cause of the funny smell and have taken care of it. Thank you for letting me know. Hope to see... More

My fiancé and I stayed here for three nights total, one night on our way down to Carate /Matapalo and two nights on our way back before we returned home. We could not have picked a more perfect spot. The hotel is well kept, adorably decorated, and very central to town. We stayed in room 10...the BEST! You have a... More

Amazing hotel! Ronney is the kindest and funniest person I ever met! We asked him a lot of question about resturants, attractions and general staff and he always helped us with a big smile and gave us a lot of information, even more then we needed. The location of the hotel is perfect! Right on the beach and very close the the... More

Since we were staying 3 nights, wanted a bigger and nicer room than most basic offered, so decided on Cabina #15, especially since it was described as “waterfront.” Wow yes, it is waterfront! Sitting on this back patio was truly one of highlights of our 16 day Costa Rica country-wide trip. This room is at end of row, so the... More

This was our first stop on a road trip through Costa Rica, and it was a wonderful hotel to make our base for a few days. The town of Puerto Jimenez is not very large, but this property is centrally located. Right on the water, a short walk in to town or a short walk along the water to the... More

Just went to Cabinas Jimenez back in March and had a great time with the family. The owner and Ronny at the front desk went out of their way to make sure we were happy. My 6 year old son and I had a blast on the kayak and fishing from the shore. The macaws and other wildlife were amazing.... More

We enjoyed the facility, location, amenities and price but had to move rooms 3 times as the bar across the water played exceptionally loud, thumping music until 4 am. There wasn't anyone in the bar most of the time which leads me to believe it will resolve itself - or may have already as we were there mid April. I... More
