Large clean room with private bath and fan ($24 for a double). Friendly owner. Right off the main street, above a pet store. Short walk to beach and airstrip. Go check out the scarlet macaws at the beach.

$10 or 5000 colones per person per night for a really nice place. Couldn't be happier. The employees were very friendly and helpful and you are right in the center of town. The water wasn't too hot, but that's nice because it's always very warm and Puerto Jimenez and a lukewarm shower is what you want. We will definitely come... More

We spend 3 nights in Cabinas Oro Verde. We paid $12 per person per night, in a spacious triple (3 beds per room) with hot water. The staff is wonderful and will store your belongings free of charge during Corcovado hikes. The place has a good kitchen that guests can use, which will save the budget traveller money.

This is a decent hostel in a nice central location close to lots of restaurants and not too far from the grocery store. The rooms are spacious with large beds, so it's good if you have several people sharing the room. The wifi was spotty, so don't rely on it working all the time.

The place is clean, in the main street of Puerto Jimenez with lots of restaurants near by. The room we stayed was big (it had 2 king size beds). It had 2 fans, each was great due to the hot. The bathroom is average but clean and with hot water (if you like hot water in 30 plus degrees Celsius)... More

We spent two nights at oro verde. For only 20 $ the two of us had a nice double room, clean, calm and near the main road. The room was big (had even a 3rd bed) and the restroom/shower was clean as well. Towels are provided. The staff was friendly, too. The common kitchen was equipped for a easy pasta... More

Very clean room, very comfortable bed, good Internet. the staff is friendly, but I think they don't speak any English. The hotel is conveniently located. There is a pet store under the hotel, which makes the hotel smelly at noon, because of all the birds kept in cages. That is a little bit disgusting, but still ok.

We have stayed here a number of times and love it! Staff are very welcoming and will always try to find you the best room they have available. All of the rooms are large with plenty of fans to keep you cool and even a T.V The kitchen area is perfect if you are travelling on a budget and want... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this budget hotel. We had a large room with plenty of light. We were also the end room so sat on the balcony undisturbed and hung up some clothes to dry. The fans were very good. There was a kitchen to use, although we did not make full use of it. The staff speak... More

I came to this hostel by chance looking for a cheaper place to stay. Right away the family operated staff was smiling and friendly. We stayed two nights and the room was super clean when we arrived, the towels were soft and you can flush the toilet paper. I hurt my foot by stepping on a sea urchin on the... More
