The rooms are vey very clean, is a quiet place, great for travelers not for turists looking to get drunk. It has parking in front and the owner is very friendly. She doesn't speak English but she will understand what you need. I used her own kitchen to make hot water for my coffee and for a small fee she... More

We stayed in a double bedroom with bathroom, and it was very clean! Location is good, in the middle of the town and there is a convenient supermarket right across the road. Nelson was very helpful for finding and arranging activities at the best price ! The only thing that the hostel is missing is a kitchen.

We stayed here for two nights and was a good choice. The room was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Good price for what it offers, parking in front of the door and not too much noise. Laundry service for a few dollars, wifi, not too far from beach.

I stayed here before and after hiking in Corcovado. Simple place but clean, good location and friendly staff. The dorm room is nice and big with a great view. I loved waking up and immediately being able to hear and watch all the birds outside.

The big plus of this place is the price... For 10 USD per person you can stay the night... But do not expect too much. It is reasonably clean, but pretty uncomfortable and the rooster will wake you up at 5:30 AM. Don't go there if you can afford better!

After driving for about 8 hours, we finally arrived to Puerto Jimenez. It was late in the night and we were extremely tired and fatigued. The hotel that we originally booked locked their gates, so we were unable to even check in. Feeling hopeless, an elderly lady from across the street was noticed our visible stress and began talking to... More

We needed a place to stay for one night after exploring the corcovado park. It wasn't cheep enough for what an unpleasant sleep it was. The room was hot, the area is very noisy, the roosters living next door kept us up all night and the owner came into the room in the morning with out knocking.

We stayed in the Cabinas by the bus station (Berta's place) which I believe is the cheaper of the two and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Berta is an inspiration to all - in her seventies and working hard to run a guesthouse day in day out! If you make the effort to speak to her in Spanish (as... More

Don't expect Abuela (grandma) to negociate on prices, she is tough and she knows that she is the cheapest hostel in town. prices are correct, beds are ok and the place is clean, you will have WiFi and if you wake up early (5pm) and stay on the rocking chair you will see sooo many beautyfull birds, the 2 species... This hostel is run by a lovely lady of 77 years and her grand daughter. They are very friendly and welcoming at all times. The place is sparkling clean and they include nice touches like shelves and wall hooks to hang damp clothes. Security is also very good. It's right across the street from a large market and only 1...
