We stayed here for a week in July and we fell in love with this property. The balcony area with the hammocks is a superb way to spend time relaxing and looking out for birds (we saw scarlet macaws and toucans from there) and observing the amazing thunderstorms. The big fans to cool you down are most welcome (it was... More

I stayed in Casa Aire Libre for about a week and absolutely fell in love with it. The open air house, full of hammocks, comfortable beds, and beautiful views, was the perfect place to reconnect with nature. The house is right by a river, so the rushing water, paired with the sounds of birds and monkeys are there to greet... More

We Stayed at Casa Los Suenos for a week in May. The property manager Tristan is super helpful. The property and house are immaculate, with fresh flowers from the gardens. The small gold mining town is quaint and friendly. There are lots of nearby hiking trails, and waterfalls within walking distance from the house. The new entrance to Corcovado Park... More

We loved this experience! To say that Tristan is a host who will go above and beyond in order to insure his guests' comfort and enjoyment is an understatement. During our time in Dos Brazos, Tristan set up tours and trips for us, including obtaining access for us to visit the brand new Dos Brazos Corcovado National Park Entrance, a... More

Thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. It was a pleasure to meet Brandon and Ashly; they were fantastic guests, adventurous, appreciative and people who really have sustainable tourism in mind! We were so pleased that they were the very first visitors to walk the brand new El Tigre Corcovado National Park Trails (not officially... More

I had the pleasur of staying for week in casa aire libre. What a hiding piece of gold bordering the jungle. Tristan was so kind and also willing to help us. The combination of the peace in the surrounding nature and a impacapable house as well as a great manager who will always show you the passion and energy the... More

This is my 3rd time to Osa Penensila, but the first time visiting Dos Brazos and staying at Casa Los Suenos. I rarely write reviews but felt deeply grateful for the Tripadvisor community bringing the house and the town to my attention. Below is why I would definitely go back and stay at the same house: 1. The manager: Tirstan... More

Visited southern Costa Rica in March 2014; stayed at Casa Tonka for 10 days with my wife and three teenagers. The beachfront property was spectacular, completely opened to the jungle, and we felt absorbed by the natural surroundings! Woke up with the howler monkeys every morning, and walked everyday to the beach with our surfboards in hand, and enjoyed relaxed... More

This is such a wonderful house on such a beautiful property, I wish we could have stayed for longer! The location of Casa Aire Libre is fantastic. You are a five minute walk from the Dos Brazos waterfall, there are hiking trails (by the end of the year there should even be an entrance to Corcovado NP nearby), and you... More

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in February. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica! The house feels like a natural part of the forest that surrounds it. I first stayed at this hidden gem over 6 years ago on my first trip to Costa Rica. At that time, it was the highlight of my vacation. I have returned twice since then. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Come and enjoy a vacation beach home in a hidden tropical paradise with breathtaking beaches, world-class surfing in a peaceful, idyllic setting. Or stay at one of our riverside jungle houses in walking distance from several alluring waterfalls in the small gold mining village of Dos Brazos del Rio Tigre, located in the forest reserve of the world famous Corcovado National Park with a new park entrance coming at the end of 2014! Osa Rainforest Rentals are located in the Osa Peninsula, southwest Costa Rica where the rainforest meets the sea. It is one of the most remote, most spectacular and wildest regions in the country. One of the last places in Costa Rica to be settled, it has been dubbed Costa Rica's last wilderness frontier. Rich in wildlife, sparsely populated and until recently very difficult to access by road. Consequently much of the peninsula is still covered in majestic, pristine rainforest. Dominated by Corcovado National Park which protects most of the peninsula, the Osa supports more then fifty percent of the animal and plant species that live in Costa Rica. National Geographic has described the Osa as, "The most biologically intense place on earth". ... more   less
