Villas de Oros was a wonderful Costa Rican experience. Vikki, the owner, was very helpful in suggesting and arranging tours in the area. We toured the mangroves and watched wildlife on the Siepre river and snorkeled off Isla Cano. The balcony of our room (Ranas) was like a tree house and each day, Toucans and white-faced monkeys paid visits. We... More

Villas de oros was just great! I was the last to arrive from our group of friends to Costa Rica and took a shuttle out to the hotel. It was easy to find with the sign off the side of the road and a short walk up the driveway. When I arrived my friends were at the beach and I... More

What a wonderful time! Loved our view off of our deck, we stayed in the Dolphin Villa (has air in the bedroom, an inside kitchen with a refrigerator, toaster oven, stove top, toaster, coffee maker and sink) . We sat in our Adirondack rocking chairs looking at the spectacular views of the jungle, the river just below and in the near... More

Just a few kilometers south of Uvita near Ojochal is a hidden gem known as Villas de Oro's! It is so nice and tucked away that all you can see from the road is their sign, but once you get up the driveway you will stumble upon a small slice of jungle paradise. This little boutique hotel has seven private... More

We would sit on our back porch in the mornings and evenings and watch monkeys and parrots and toucans and lizards oh my! Really a very special place and convenient (by car) to the beautiful beaches of the Parque Nacional Marino Ballena. The room was very nice, and we made good use of the refrigerator and coffee pot on the... More

We loved our stay. The porch overlooking the jungle was great....Monkey's, Toucan's, many variety of birds. Seeing the Scarlett Macaws flying in for their evening roost and back out in the morning was spectacular. We cooked on our porch/kitchen, both breakfast and a few evening meals. It is rustic, but we did have A/C in our room. Vicki, the owner,... More

What a treat to sit quietly on the back terrace in early light to watch the capuchin monkeys drop 20 feet to scramble to the next picking spot and see the scarlet macaws sweep overhead! Vicki helped us with a ride to the bank. A car is highly recommended. We missed the opportunity for self-catering in a well-equipped outside kitchen,... More

We (a whole family of 10 people, 6 adults and 4 children from 2 to 7 years old) stayed 3 nights in last december, using 3 rooms with terraces directly on the forest. It's a good place to stay and spend time watching toucans or others birds and howler monkeys, with a beautiful tropical garden and a lovely pool, perfect... More
