I went with my wife and two little girls to visit the area of Osa in Puntarenas for almost a week. After spending the first days in regular hotels, we have the privilege to stay the last two days in this amazing spot. They have beautiful and bungalows called "casitas" into an exuberant garden which is more like a tropical... More

We only spent one night here - on our way to another part of Costa Rica so a lot of time was not spent at the hotel. It was a nice comfortable place with a/c. This was important to us because we had spent the last week in a hot, humid part of the country without it. The room was... More

AWESOME HOTEL! It had everything: friendly front-desk staff always willing to help and give tips on where to go and what to do, excellent food at a fair price, breath-taking views, great single bungalows for a perfect jungle getaway, and very conveniently situated next to 8 beaches (within 30km). I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!!!

The hotel has nearly all individual cabins situated in the forest. Ours was situated at the highest point of the properties very close to the wonderfull little pool. From the pool you had a wonderfull view over the Pacific and the surounding forest. The breakfast restaurant was near the pool which made that you had good spotting of local bird... More

Villas Gaia is the perfect place to stay. We stayed here after Envision festival. They have a lovely pool overlooking the Pacific & the beach. They have gorgeous views with your own personal villa with hot water, air conditioning & all. The restaurant is fairly priced with delicious food & drinks. Iguanas roam all around & we had a chance... More

Once upon a time this must have been a gem of a vacation get-away. The property is beautiful, with lovely views both intimate and faraway. But unfortunately that is where the nice story ends. The very first thing we encountered upon arrival was either a massive lack of memory, or a lack of honesty on the part of the management.... More

Dear Sandy, first of all my apologies for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay. There was a misunderstanding about the credit card as your trip from San Jose to the hotel is a seperate transport provider and needed to be paid directly. I assumed when you asked for transport it would be locally when enjoying the tours. Restaurant and... More

Spent 3 nights in this hotel in January 2015. It has a beautiful lush garden and a small but nice pool. The restaurant has a very nice ambience and food is tasty and nicely presented. The breakfast area has nice ocean view and often capuchins, howler monkeys and scarlet macaws come to 'entertain'. The hotel offers guided night tours for... More

Location, staff, panorama, rooms, food, all perfect! For families, single travelers or couples. I was traveling through Costa Rica on my own and Villas Gaia was perfect on my route. One hour south from Manuel Antonio, close to the southern region around Golfito and just 15 minutes from the Carrera Panamericana through the cloud forests. The European touch of Dutch... More

This hotel has a beautiful garden, a nice pool. The rooms are somewhat outdated, service was at one time poor, disappointing lunch. Lots of rocky beaches in the area. Ojochal seems culinair challenged, I can recommend Citrus.
