We started our amazing journey in Sierpe, where our guide, Cynthia welcomed us, along with our competent boat captain, Roberto. The trip down the river was informative, with stops along the way where Cynthia explained about the mangroves, etc. Our cabina was tucked away, and very private. We enjoyed the outdoor shower and especially listening to all of the jungle... More

As some other reviewers have posted, this is not the place for you if you expect varied meal choices, television, and other amenities found in upscale hotels. If you enjoy wildlife and love a sense of adventure, you will hate to leave this place because it offers such a unique experience. I am so glad there were no modern electronic... More

Unless one has a private plane, the journey to this lodge is memorable - about an hour down the river and then 45 mins along the coast. Lots of opportunities for wild-life spotting on the way. One lands on a tiny beach and a small tractor and trailer hauls people and baggage up to the lodge. One is not sure... More

This place is amazing! You can only get to this fabulous resort by boat which is an absolutely great expereince. OUr guide Cynthia and the boat captain Tony were amazing! They took us all over the river and we saw amazing wildlife and natural habitats! When we arrived, we were blown away by the incredible beauty here. You have the... More

Like other reviews said the travel to get to the lodge was part of the adventure. The room was very comfortable for our family of 4. 2 adults and 2children ages 12 and 14. We has 2twin beds and 2queen with a seating area. Our shower was not the outdoor type. No need for phone, tv, texting or other electronic... More

Stunning location surrounded by forest and animals, well maintained gardens, central office/pool/bar/restaurant area with the bungalows a short walk away well separated for privacy and quietness and each with its own secluded garden area. The bungalows are a little disappointing, verging toward basic rather than luxurious although quite well appointed; a standard size double bed, limited hanging and storage, seating... More

Very enjoyable just getting there, one hour thro the mangroves ( which we had a detour to see the Caymens) then one hour down the coast. Amazing setting, lovely beach, although its a bit of a walk down from the lodge. Food was very good and wine quite reasonable, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Interesting walk... As per previous reviews, this place is a gem and well worth the considerable cost. Having an early morning swim with scarlet macaws flying overhead and toucans and parrots in the trees takes some beating! I cant however agree with a previous correspondent on the subject of the "ever present manager". Ours made no attempt to meet or have any... More

This was the last place we stayed at on our trip to Cost Rica and it was the best. It is secluded and can only be reached by boat from Drake Bay (about 45 minutes). It is situated at the edge of the Corcovado National Park … a special place. The grounds of this lodge are stunning with beautiful gardens... More

Case Corcovado in the OSA Peninsula is absolutely fabulous. It will take you close to 2 hours by boat to get to the lodge and this in itself is already an adventure. Be prepared to travel down the river and then the surf of the Pacific Ocean. The lodge is in a great location for wildlife view in the national... More
