The first thing to understand about this place is that is an adventure (or, depending on your point of view, a challenge) to get there. A 45 minute flight on a light aircraft is followed by a pleasant 20 minute drive to a delightful landing place, from which you take a two hour speedboat trip to the lodge. The first... More

The lodge is perfectly located next to Corcovado National Park with trails starting at the lodge taking you through the park. These trails can only be completed with a guide. The same wildlife can be found on the lodge grounds, which includes 2 miles of trails, as in the park. We were lucky enough to see two tapirs, several other... More

LOVED THIS PLACE! Remote, relaxed, and beautiful. This was the final destination of a 2 week trip around Costa Rica. The bungalows, pool and food are excellent. The trips are good fun and the guides are knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Didn't want to leave.

Casa Corcovado is unique and we were so glad that we (a family of 4 adults from England) made the long trip from Arenal to get here. We took a flight from the capital, San Jose to Drakes Bay which was a short journey of just over half an hour. We were met very promptly by a driver who then... More

This review does kind of prove the point that the wildlife that you can see while at the hotel does depend quite a bit on luck. In a recent review the clients were disappointed because they didn't see many animals but it seems that these ladies were very lucky. It is always a thrill to see a tapir, which we... More

It's a long way to get to Casa Corcovado - a flight from San Jose to Palma Sur, a short minibus ride and then a 1½-2 hour boat trip partly through the mangroves and partly across open sea. Even the last part of the journey by tractor and trailer up the hill from the beach to the lodge is an... More

Casa Corcovado is an adventure and when you arrive you are in the rainforest in a remote and beautiful spot. This is the real deal with some nice creature comforts. I do think the private lunch served on the beach is a great experience and is a good reason to book an extra night, to slow down and relax. Thanks... More

I have to give an excellent reviews to Casa Corcovado. First the grounds and hotel itself is simply stunning. I am in awe of how they built such a beautiful place in such a remote location. The staff were absolutely perfect all around. Sophia in the office is as kind as can be, Steven helpful and informative and our waiter... More

I am glad that that this guest enjoyed Casa Corcovado. Sometimes even I am surprized that we were able to build such an incredible place in our very remote location. It has been a labor of love, over 20 years in the making. Many people have had a hand in the building of it and in the creation of the... More

This is the most challenging review I've written - because CCJL is a very unique and special place. But I cannot recommend it highly. I confess that my negative experience was partly of my own making - I was alone. There were only fifteen other guests and no wifi. For my two "canned" day trips (national park nature walk) and... I feel very bad that this client did not have a perfect experience with us at Casa Corcovado. I would first like to state thay there is wifi at the hotel though it is limited to the area close to the office and the connection can at times be slow. We are hoping to upgrade the system later this year.... More

We (my husband, teenage son and I) have just returned from a two week trip to Costa Rica which included four days/three nights at Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge. Utterly beautiful and inspiring. I really did enjoy the comment about the ''unsung heroes and heroines'', we do have great staff that work magic to produce ''paradice'' in the jungle, which is often not that easy. Thank you for such nice comments. Steven Lill owner/founder More
