I won't go into the journey in depth, enough people have filled you in on that already. What I will say about it is that the skills of the boat captain, both in wildlife spotting and in handling the transition from gentle river to rough sea were first class. OK, firstly let me save you a bit of weight in... More

We were here many (4) years ago but will review it because it was so extraordinarily special. As seen on most reviews you board a very short flight followed by a short transfer and longer boat ride through the river full of mangroves. Upon arrival we were greeted with welcome drinks and the views are just unforgettable. The grounds are... More

The journey there was amazing. First a flight on a small 12 seater plane, then a short minbus drive then a boat ride through the mangroves and out to the Pacific ocean. Quite bumpy but exciting. Then wading ashore and a short tractor ride up the hill to the Lodge. All the staff made us feel very special and not "just... More

All of the staff at Casa Corcovado tries to make every guest feel special and for us they are. We want everyone to have an amazing experience. We are working with some new ideas and a new young Chef this season and I'm very happy that these clients found our efforts in the kitchen, ''innovative, tasty and well presented''. A... More

We came by min us to the Hacienda-the departure point of the boats going to Corcovado. Very nice, we got lots to drink and time to get ready for the boat ride, which takes about 90 minutes down a river lined with mangroves to get to the ocean (can be bumpy). The team is very well organized and helpful; as... More

Location, location, location! I do think we have a great location, on the coast adjoining the National Park but what I liked most was the comment that our team at Casa Corcovado was ''well organized and helpful''. We do try our hardest to make everyone feel at home and special. Steven Lill / owner More

This was by far the best part of our stay in Costa Rica! The accommodations were brilliant-quality plus jungle equals fantastic. Our tour guides were knowledgeable, excited, and fun! We went snorkeling, hiking in the National Forest, kayaking, fishing, picnicking by the beach, a night hike, and much more. The food and service were top notch and they even cooked... More

''Wow'' is good, I like that. I also like that this family had fun, doesn't seem to be anything wrong with that. We are always more than happy to cook up any fish that are caught on our fishing trips, there is nothing like eating your own fresh caught fish. Thanks Steven Lill / owner More

It would be incorrect to evaluate Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge as mere accommodation or a resort. The correct evaluation would involve the total experience. Our package included flights to from/ to San Jose: in single turbo prop aircraft, a boat ride through a serpentine river lined with mangroves and partly through a choppy Pacific Ocean before a tricky “beach landing”... I love the comment, intense, surreal and a little retro, though technologically I'm not sure, our solar system is state of the art. It is hard to make this '' World Apart '', this '' Seperate Reality '' day by day and of course there can be problems. It is at the best of times an intense and surreal experience. I wouldn't have... I wouldn't believe that this place was real if I hadn't gone there myself. It's in the middle of a huge national park that you can only get to by taking a boat for 2 hours, and there is almost noone else around (there is a tiny town nearby and a few other hotels, but that's it). The place is... More

Cynthia is fantastic, we have been lucky to have her work with us for close to ten years. She is also a massage therapist and offers excellent massages in the afternoons. She is going to be certified as a yoga instructor during the off season and we hope to be able to have some yoga classes beginning in November. Steven... More

We spent 3 wonderful days at Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge this past March. It is a beautiful lodge set in virgin jungle. The staff is great and the food was deliciously prepared and served. Early mornings are the best time to search the beautiful gardens for birds. No need to take alarm clocks as the Black Mantled Howler monkeys will... More

If you are nature/adventure focused in your travels, this should be the premier location high on your 'must do ' list. All the arrangements from San Jose to the resort were organized and very well planned. You do not have to worry about where to go - guides meet you at each step and make the plane/ boat/tractor ride a... More

I'm glad that these guests had an amazing experience and put us on the ''must do'' list while in Costa Rica. We do try and offer a unique and authentic experience at Casa Corcovado. You know you are in for something special from the time you are picked up by boat from Sierpe and taken on the 1-2 hour trip to the small beach below this lodge. After wading ashore a tractor takes you up a steep 1km track to the lodge. Guests are housed in separate bungalows which are well-spaced through the surrounding... More

I do think one of the best things about Casca Corcovado is the fact that we adjoin the National Park, surrounded by hundreds of acres of virgin Rainforest in an area where there is little tourism activity. Our guests are immersed in the sights and sounds of the Rainforest. Steven Lill / owner More
