If you want to see a video of my experiences at Casa Corcovado, you can click this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccDAmnyiO3w Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge is one of those places you really unplug...Every morning at sunrise, I'd wake to the sounds of Howler Monkeys in the trees above my bungalow. What a fantastic alarm clock! If you're looking for a place where... More

We stayed at Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge for three nights as part of a larger birdwatching tour of Costa Rica. Each part of the experience was unique from the 2 hour boat ride in and out, to the amazing array of birds and wildlife, the beautiful grounds, and the exceptional guides (kudos to Julian and Freddy). We watched the sun... More

If you are looking for a remote resort getaway in Costa Rica, on the pacific ocean, surrounded by rain forest, birds and animals, and stunning sunsets, the Jungle Lodge is the place! Getting there is the first part of your adventure- a 30 minute flight from San Jose to Drake Bay, followed by a 20 minute ride in a 4x4... More

45 min light aircraft flight from San Jose, 2 hours down a winding river before breaking out through the surf into the Pacific and finally winding cautiously between jagged rocks to land on the beach... even getting here is quite an adventure. Once arrived, more luxury than you might expect in roomy, airy bungalows - but if you can't survive... More

To find yourself truly ''immersed in the rainforest experience'' is probably the maximum goal of Casa Corcovado. I am so glad that these guests could really enjoy our ''rainforest paradise''. Steven Lill owner / founder More

Brought a group of birders here for three nights. You get here by boat, and the birding and wildlife viewing were great on the way. Wet landing means wear Tevas and shorts. Nice grounds, rooms are very nice, food was good. Very green resort - no AC. Great birding on the trails in the park (adjacent to the lodge). We... More

I do think it is good advice, Tevas and shorts for the wet landings is good advice. We are lucky that on the grounds of the hotel we often see many kinds of birds and animals because of our privileged location next to the National Park. I think that also we do have great guides on staff and I am... More

Casa Corcovado is a unique resort that will delight your spirit and palette. Just getting to CC is an experience. You typically take a small plane from San Jose to a tiny landing strip in either Palmar Sur or Drake Bay. The resort staff will meet you and then you take their mini-bus to their outpost on the Sierpe river... More

We stayed for three nights at Casa Corcovado in March 2015. We heard that to see the best of Costa Rica's nature, Corcovado is the place to visit, and we were proven right. The property is spacious and built in harmony with the rainforest it's next door to, and as soon as we arrived we were looked after by a... More

I am glad that these friends from England had a great stay with us at Casa Corcovado. I am happy that they enjoyed our Pic-Nic lunches and didn't have problems with hot water in their Bungalow and really excited they had fantastic wildlife sightings. To be 6 feet away from a baby Tapir and see an ocelot in the wild... More

Beautifull lodge. Well maintained and well kept. Excellent food served for lunch and diner. Equally excellent location for visiting the National park. No aircondition available which is understandable because electricity is from solar panels. However, owners house has been built at sea level where it can enjoy the freshness of the sea breeze. No such thing is possible in the... More

It can get hot in March, during the dry season. I suppose the good side is the ocean is usually calm, the snorkeling good and the trails are dry. We do produce our own electricity with solar panels and a small Hydroelectric system, so air conditioning is out of the question for us as are mini-frigs and coffee makers in... More

We stayed here four nights in February 2015. Overall, we had a fabulous trip and would not hesitate to recommend Casa Corcovado. However, there are a few things I think they could improve upon to warrant a 5 star for us. First, a few of the many, many positives are as follows. Casa Corcovado is quite luxurious considering you are... More

First, I would like to say, thank you for the nice comments about my gardens, I do love my gardens. We do have excellent staff and between San Jose, our port facility in Sierpe and the Hotel, there are 39 of us. With only 14 Bungalows it is hard to put on extra staff. We are sorry if these guests... More

We booked the 6 night ultimate jungle safari here, and would highly recommend that people stay this long here - we felt so sorry for those who booked the shorter 3 day packages - they only just started to enjoy the place and activities before they had to go. The cabins are so spacious! And private, and well furnished! Our... More

I do agree with these guests that people that stay for an extra day [or more] enjoy having the time to relax, adventure on there own and get into the rythums of the jungle. We are having a problem with hot water in the bungalows are actively working on solutions. I do apologize for the fact that they had problems... More
