Casa Corcovado is a unique resort that will delight your spirit and palette. Just getting to CC is an experience. You typically take a small plane from San Jose to a tiny landing strip in either Palmar Sur or Drake Bay. The resort staff will meet you and then you take their mini-bus to their outpost on the Sierpe river... More

We stayed for three nights at Casa Corcovado in March 2015. We heard that to see the best of Costa Rica's nature, Corcovado is the place to visit, and we were proven right. The property is spacious and built in harmony with the rainforest it's next door to, and as soon as we arrived we were looked after by a... More

I am glad that these friends from England had a great stay with us at Casa Corcovado. I am happy that they enjoyed our Pic-Nic lunches and didn't have problems with hot water in their Bungalow and really excited they had fantastic wildlife sightings. To be 6 feet away from a baby Tapir and see an ocelot in the wild... More

Beautifull lodge. Well maintained and well kept. Excellent food served for lunch and diner. Equally excellent location for visiting the National park. No aircondition available which is understandable because electricity is from solar panels. However, owners house has been built at sea level where it can enjoy the freshness of the sea breeze. No such thing is possible in the... More

It can get hot in March, during the dry season. I suppose the good side is the ocean is usually calm, the snorkeling good and the trails are dry. We do produce our own electricity with solar panels and a small Hydroelectric system, so air conditioning is out of the question for us as are mini-frigs and coffee makers in... More

We stayed here four nights in February 2015. Overall, we had a fabulous trip and would not hesitate to recommend Casa Corcovado. However, there are a few things I think they could improve upon to warrant a 5 star for us. First, a few of the many, many positives are as follows. Casa Corcovado is quite luxurious considering you are... More

First, I would like to say, thank you for the nice comments about my gardens, I do love my gardens. We do have excellent staff and between San Jose, our port facility in Sierpe and the Hotel, there are 39 of us. With only 14 Bungalows it is hard to put on extra staff. We are sorry if these guests... More

We booked the 6 night ultimate jungle safari here, and would highly recommend that people stay this long here - we felt so sorry for those who booked the shorter 3 day packages - they only just started to enjoy the place and activities before they had to go. The cabins are so spacious! And private, and well furnished! Our... More

I do agree with these guests that people that stay for an extra day [or more] enjoy having the time to relax, adventure on there own and get into the rythums of the jungle. We are having a problem with hot water in the bungalows are actively working on solutions. I do apologize for the fact that they had problems... More

Following the advice in TripAdvisor, My wife and I spent four nights, from February 13 through February 16, 2015, at Casa Corcovado, on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica, in fair and very warm weather. In every sense it was a delightful and memorable adventure. Now that we’re back in the snow and ice we really miss it. The experience... More

I think that this isa well balanced review and it was a good idea to mention that Casa Corcovado is probably not the best place for people with serious health problems or those who need unlimited WiFi. I am happy that this couple enjoyed ther stay with us. Steven Lill owner/founder More

Before I review I want to give a few tips to those who skim the first paragraphs. This place is great but it IS in the rainforest and remote so some things should be understood. 1- If you pay by a credit card, there is no swipe or chip technology- it's the old hand-crank method and if your credit card... Thank you for your comments. This gentleman is correct that for the moment we do not have chip or swipe technology to charge clients at the hotel, so a card with raised numbers would be a big help. We are talking with the credit card company in San Jose to do a trial with a modern system to see if it... More

What a wonderful place this is. The unanimous decision of of all the nationalities staying, was that a 3 or 4 day stay was just not long enough. If I had known how much there was to do I would have booked longer than 3 nights and it would have also given us time to kick back and enjoy the... More

Luckily this was our last stop in Costa Rica before the long haul back to the UK as it was the high point of our trip. Casa Corcovado's setting surely gives it a head start but the staff and management do everything they can to add value to this. The attention to detail starts before the moment of arrival as... These visitors from the United Kingdom seem to have had an excellent experience with us at Casa Corcovado and were glad that they saved the best for last. They did have some good advice, the boat ride from Sierpe can be bumpy and the best place to sit is towards the back of the boat. Also they mentioned ''stargazing'', we... More

The location is beautiful and very secluded. You can only reach the lodge by boat (1,5 hrs one way). The premises is situated approx. 15 min. by foot to the entrance of the National Park (NP). Therefore very convenient, if you want to hike within Corcovado. The areal of the lodge is up the hill (very steep) from where you... More

I do feel bad that this was less than a perfect review. We have had problems with our battery bank and our back- up generator is running more than we like.
