Food was wonderful, drinks were suer tasty and lodge in general is super romantic. Manager was very kind and we left the place thinking that we would like to come back one day. PURE PARADISE. PURA VIDA... Bad news was to find out afterwards that they did not provide us with the guide that we had asked for to Osa... More

This place really grew on me. It is a remote ecolodge which is a 45 min walk from the nearest village Carate (which is itself a very bumpy 2 hour drive from the nearest airstrip at Puerto Jimenez); it consists of tent cabins with no electricity or wifi, but which are spectacularly situated overlooking the beach and gardens. Hammocks are... More

We visited Corcovado and stayed at La Leona Lodge at the end of November 2015. Our whole experience was fabulous and the highlight of our 3 week trip to Costa Rica. We were early in the season so the lodge was not full which probably enhanced our experience. As one of the earlier reviewers said if you are looking for... More

Stopped at the hotel and had something quick to eat and drink at the bar. I asked the manager/owner, Adrian, to please allow me access to their Wi-Fi for 5 min (just needed to tell me their password) to contact my son who was sick at the hotel and after 30 minutes of asking multiple times, I had to leave... Ok! I must recognize it took me some time getting to this review. Nevertheless, life in a big North American city can be hectic - absolutely different from the place I visited in September. To those of you trying to get some information on whether or not this place is for you, I must say that I still have Corcovado... More

Everything about this Eco Lodge is perfect. you have to walk the beach to reach the lodge, no road to get here. Its not easy to get here but once you do, you do not want to leave. Its nothing less than amazing to have all inclusive and be in the most intense rainforest. Laying on the hammocks, watching the... More

I stayed at La Leona Eco Lodge with a friend last September for 3 days, as a base from which to explore Corcovado National Park. The experience was amazing on all dimensions. The lodge is located in a beautiful remote location, surrounded by pristine nature (forest, ocean, beach). As we came in the low season, the area was virtually empty... More

Went to this lodge with two other travelers and it was an amazing experience. It is very remote (the only way to get there is to walk 4km over the beach) which makes it adventurous and not very touristic. The surroundings are amazing and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The tents are very nice (but a bit old... More

A unique eco-lodge in that it is one of the few places you can stay in Corcovado. The owner and staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the guides extremely knowledgeable. The location is beautiful....set right on a fairly pristine beach and the access to one of the last wildernesses in Costa Rica is amazing. I was hooked from... More

It's a long way down to Carate, but it's worth it. Adrian and his staff see to it that you will receive anything you ask for. Bar, the friendly bar-keep will entertain you and keep you hydrated. Our stop was too short, we stayed two nights. Our aim was hiking and finding the elusive animals of Corcovado National Park. We... More
