There is too little space in this box to tell you how wonderful La Leona was. For anyone looking for a real rainforest experience this is the place to come. You have to be prepared to 'rough it' a little; there is the walk along the beach to get there, the showers have cold water and there is no electric... More

I have never had a place steal my heart like La Leona Eco Lodge. The tents are beautiful. I went in February and this was a nice time of the year. The weather was warm - but aided by the ocean breeze. Also, for some reason, there were little to no bugs this time of year. Each tent has two... More

Getting there requires a little effort as you need to walk on the beach almost 40 minutes to get to this place. The walk in itself is fantastic as the beach is unspoiled and offers stunning views. The ecolodge is fabulous, very quiet apart from the powerful ocean waves that can be very impressive especially at night. The bungalow are... More

The lodge is located just 150 meters near the national park. You will have great food, an amazing beach, peace & quietness just for yourself. The staff and especially the hotel manager Felipe are very friendly and helpful and would do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Would definitely recommend this place.

This was a total bonus for us! We stayed in the monkey camp, a short walk up the hill from the main camp. It paid off the monkeys gave us a show! It was sunset or monkeys and we chose the later! This is a Tico owned and operated family business that takes pride in sustainability and preservation of the... More

My friend and I recently spent 3 nights at La Leona and had a fantastic time. Even the 35 minute walk on the beach from Carate to the lodge was nice as there were several macaws along the way. We had an ocean view cabin and the grounds are beautiful with lots of birds and wildlife. One day, there was... More

We stayed at La Leona a total of 5 nights, in the middle of our stay we hiked to Sirena Station with a excellent guide provided by La Leona. We stayed at Sirena Station for 2 nights. La Leona is the closest resort to Corcovado National Park. There is a 35 minute walk along the gorgeous beach to get to... More

We had a wonderful stay at La Leona 31.st December and for four nights on. Even for Costa Rica this is a very special place:The special feeling of a family driven hotel where everybody made you feel like you were a special guest. The comfortable huts with good beds. The surrounding nature inside and outside of the National park -... More

My wife, daughter 918 yr ) and I just got back from a 6 day stay at La Leona Eco Lodge. We had a great vacation and came back very relaxed. I went mostly to see the forest and the lodge owns a private preserve behind it with trails. It was so nice to be able to get up before... More
