My husband and I stayed here for four nights for our 10th anniversary. We came to Osa to hike in Corcovado National Park and had carefully researched our options for a place to stay before settling on Carate and Luna Lodge. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice for our Osa adventure. Our adventure began with a jeep... more

Luna is a great destination for nature lovers, esp. Birders. The grounds are profusely planted with more species of Heliconia and Ginger than we have ever seen in one place. As a result we had 4 species of Hermits on the grounds daily as well as Honeycreepers fighting for the nectar. Black Hooded Antshrike, Paltry tyrannulet, Yel-Olive Fly, Common Tody-Fly,... more

Their friendly and welcoming stuff, the yoga classes, food and being surrounded by a beautiful nature scenery makes it a perfect place to disconnect from the world. more

My husband and I visited the Luna Lodge as part of our honeymoon on the Osa Peninsula. We were a bit concerned about the steep price, since we usually do not spend alot on lodging, but we decided to treat ourselves after backpacking in the jungle for 3 days. After we arrived and took in the sheer beauty of the... more

This was my 3rd visit to Costa Rica. We decided to stay in a Bungalow at the Luna Lodge for 4 days in early Feb. The bungalow was beautiful, the outdoor shower was relaxing, and the staff made everyone feel comfortable. If you enjoy wildlife, you will love it here. Many toucans and howler monkeys to be seen and heard.... more

Lana Wedmore's dream was my reality! Luna Lodge staff people are personable and friendly; Luna lodging is ecofriendly, simple and not understated; In building this place it has remained true to the beautiful land - built to honor the forest and jungle inhabintants - plants, animals and humans! Luna Lodge food - delicioso! Simple organic food flavored with a cultural... more

First of all, anyone who wrote negatively about this place needs to stay out of Costa Rica. If you can't handle bugs, lizards, sloths, monkeys, butterflies, or huge beautiful birds hanging out in your lodge, Costa Rica is probably not the place for you- go to Hawaii. Or, stay off the Osa Penninsula- stay in Nicoya or somewhere else touristy.... more

Our visit to Luna Lodge was something we will never forget. We flew into San Jose and then into Puerto Jimenez. We were met by Olman ( our dirver) and taken to the lodge. Although Olman did not speak alot of English and us not alot of Spanish, we communicated very well. He stopped along the way to show us... more

Although Luna Lodge seems to pride itself on being a relaxing spa eco lodge, my partner and i found that it was anything but!! Firstly, I think a warning is in order about the cabins. They are completely open to the elements in that they have walls but these do not reach the roof. Therefore anything, and i mean anything!,... more
