We loved the osa peninsula & we loved luna lodge! It's an amazing experience to be smack in the middle of the jungle with macaws, toucans, monkeys & a bunch of other neat critters... The jungle sounds are something incredible. The lodge only accommodates a small number of people, which I really like as I dislike the big hotel experience.... More

We stayed at another location our first two nights at the Osa Peninsula and then came to Luna Lodge upon recommendation of friends. It was absolutely amazing!!! Everything just as I had dreamed of being at a rain forest jungle lodge. The food was good, yoga was great and a fantastic massage. If you wish to go on a hike... More

I was traveling alone through Costa Rica in 2012-2013 and stayed at Luna Lodge in December 2012 and then a second time because I loved it so much in March 2013 (I think? I forget the exact dates). It was just before I returned home to NY. I stayed in a bungalow both times and absolutely loved it. I love... More

As a birder with Costa Rica on my Birding Bucket list, I couldnt have selected a better place. The remoteness was exciting, the birds were wonderful and the staff could tell you the bird by sound. The food arranged especially for this Vegan couple was the best and freshest we've had. There was a sloth in the tree outside our... More

My fiance and I were so excited to come to Osa to experience the wildlife that it had to offer. The lodge is a beautiful place literally in the middle of nowhere... which we loved! We had a 4x4 rental vehicle and we knew the roads would be rough... and they were! We were about at our wits end by... More

We love getting off the beaten path and so were excited about Luna Lodge's location at the end of the last road on the Osa Peninsula. We couldn't have been happier. The drive down was slow but beautiful. We loved the steep windy road up to the lodge and couldn't believe the beauty once we got there. Not just the... More

While we did not stay here, I felt compelled to let other travelers know about my positive experience here. My wife and I had actually intended to hike to a nearby waterfall, but got lost and ended up here. It was a VERY hot day and we were tired and thirsty. The owner was very gracious and welcomed us in,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Secluded in the tropical rain forest bordering Corcovado National Park, Luna Lodge is a unique resort described by many as "...a piece of true paradise". Its appeal is, not only, its natural beauty and environment, where the heliconia hang three feet long, and the howler monkeys wake you in the morning, but also, its ambiance. The owners' passion for the preservation of the forest is ever present, and the attentive courtesy, friendly staff always serve "con mucho gusto... with pleasure". ... more   less
