I was originally planning on staying at the Sirena Ranger Station to hike into Corcovado National Park. The price was steeper than I had planned and after reading Trip Advisor reviews decided to stay at Luna Lodge instead. The drive up is an experience alone! I think there were at least 10 river crossings from Puerto Jimenez. Four Wheel drive... More

Luna Lodge is a unique wonderful place to experience, starting from the great kindness of its owner and her great staff that makes you feel so very welcomed, the spectacular view from each place at the lodge is so very especial. Every single activity is properly conducted with knowledge, good organization and great interest! Morning’s yoga and massage added to... More

We live in Costa Rica, so we get around to different parts of the country and stay in all types of accommodations, but Luna Lodge is the most special place we have ever stayed here! Unbelievably remote it is one a special way to experience a special part of the world. Osa is one of the last lowland rain forests... More

I stayed with a teenage daughter for a week at Luna Lodge. We both LOVED it: from the morning yoga to the trails to observe wildlife or the healthy (and absolutely delicious) food...We would sleep to the sound of howling monkeys. The massages were incredible too! This is a perfect lodge experience: we got to experience nature while still being... More

We loved the osa peninsula & we loved luna lodge! It's an amazing experience to be smack in the middle of the jungle with macaws, toucans, monkeys & a bunch of other neat critters... The jungle sounds are something incredible. The lodge only accommodates a small number of people, which I really like as I dislike the big hotel experience.... More

We stayed at another location our first two nights at the Osa Peninsula and then came to Luna Lodge upon recommendation of friends. It was absolutely amazing!!! Everything just as I had dreamed of being at a rain forest jungle lodge. The food was good, yoga was great and a fantastic massage. If you wish to go on a hike... More

I was traveling alone through Costa Rica in 2012-2013 and stayed at Luna Lodge in December 2012 and then a second time because I loved it so much in March 2013 (I think? I forget the exact dates). It was just before I returned home to NY. I stayed in a bungalow both times and absolutely loved it. I love... More

As a birder with Costa Rica on my Birding Bucket list, I couldnt have selected a better place. The remoteness was exciting, the birds were wonderful and the staff could tell you the bird by sound. The food arranged especially for this Vegan couple was the best and freshest we've had. There was a sloth in the tree outside our... More

In Luna Lodge, Lana and her amazing staff make definitely sure, that you will have an unforgettable stay. The lodge is situated off-the-grid with an adventurous trail leading to it (4x4 mandatory). For everyone who is bored of showering in a shower - two natural waterfalls are close-by and can be reached by foot within 10 minutes. Guests might get... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Secluded in the tropical rain forest bordering Corcovado National Park, Luna Lodge is a unique resort described by many as "...a piece of true paradise". Its appeal is, not only, its natural beauty and environment, where the heliconia hang three feet long, and the howler monkeys wake you in the morning, but also, its ambiance. The owners' passion for the preservation of the forest is ever present, and the attentive courtesy, friendly staff always serve "con mucho gusto... with pleasure". ... more   less
