I'm probably not going to add anything new to all the other reviews. This place was beyond incredible. From the greeting as you drive up from Lana and a glass of cold water from Michael to the food to all the wonderful wildlife. All was lots professional. The food was incredible. Met many like minded Americans that will be future... More

This is the only place I've ever stayed where I think a review is almost pointless; everything there is to say has already been said. It's amazing. You won't find a place more off-the-grid in Costa Rica. The staff is beyond professional. Lana is a bit serious, but she is obviously happy and her demeanor is the reason this place... More

I did not stay here, but wandered in while birding. I was afraid that we would be chased off and treated unkindly. Couldn't have been made to feel more welcomed! Even after telling them that we were not customers, we were invited to stay and bird. The grounds are beautiful and the open air restaurant overlooking the rainforest and ocean... More

We were traveling with another couple on a birding expedition. Well, 3 birders and one nature lover, me. First impressions are always the very best and our was just that! Our welcome warmed with lovely smiles by Lana and Michael. Cooled with a large goblet of cold water. Our Bungalow was very spacious, comfortable bed and fantastic shower that felt like... More

I stayed at luna lodge as part of a yoga program and loved every minute of it. THe friendliest and most knowledgeable staff I have encountered on this continent. Fantastic yoga platform and the food is to die for. Fresh, innovative and diverse. The pool is a haven in the rainforest. Lots of wildlife and great tours - I did... More

What an amazing time my husband and I spent at Luna Lodge. The owner Lana and the entire staff are first class. The accommodations are simple but lovely, each with an outdoor shower and a view of the rainforest canopy. The food is excellent. It is served in an open air large lodge type room with a view of the... More

We stayed at Luna for a week, splitting our time between a tent and a palapa cabin. They were both great. I was concerned that the tent would be too rustic but it was comfy, well screened, with a full private bathroom and felt really remote- the tents are at the top of the property so you get a workout... Thanks for staying in this overwelming lodge! We had a great time. Walking trails nearby our tentlodge. We have seen lots of spidermonkeys. The howlermonkey woke us at 04.30 so we could see de sun comming up. The food was great and the people of Luna are very, very kind. We have got a great memory to bring home! Lots... More

Idyllic setting, individual houses/huts unique and comfortable. Buffet dinners very, very good. Can accommodate vegetarians and vegans. Beautiful grounds and very good nature walks of all sorts--from fairly easy to very demanding. Only negative is that some of the individual houses are so close to the lodge and pool that (1) their view from their house porch is not the... More

If you want to see the extraordinary wildlife and flora of the Costa Rican rain forest in comparative luxury, you must visit Luna Lodge. My wife and I spent a wonderful week here in January with a group of photo enthusiasts. We saw and photographed at least 50 different species of birds from the deck of the lodge, on the... More
