Lovely lodge with rustic wooden cabins (likely with some friendly animal inhabitants such as geckos, bats, bugs...), good food, fantastic scenery and location, friendly hosts. The lodge has trails leading down to its own private beach.

We stayed here one night. Great find as it was half way between Manual Antonio and our destination in Matapalo. We arrived about 1pm and Carlos was very friendly and showed us a cabin. We loved the rustic look of the cabin, and how Carlos had custom built each cabin. When Carlos told us about the hiking trails to the... More

Rather selfishly I want this place all to myself. Which is what it actually feels like today. You have miles of incredible rainforest and beach to yourself. You sleep and get fed surrounded by wildlife. And get unflinching help with anything you need or want to do. And the whole thing costs less than it does to live at home.... More

Carlos is a great host. He' informative, funny and a great cook if you prefer not to drive to a restaurant. The complex is small with only 4 private and very comfortable cabanas. Carlos has cleared trails for hiking in the jungle or to the wonderful beach nearby for swimming in the Gulfo Dulce. Plenty of cold cerveza too. Howlers... More

If you want to see plenty of Black-mandibled Toucans, Fiery-billed Aracaris, Mealy parrots, Lineated Woodpeckers, Howler monkeys, tarantulas and geckoes and walk down a beautiful rainforested creek to the beach on the Goflo Dulce, then this is the place for you. The owner Carlos is a wonderful, friendly man who provides excellent meals, and has a great love of animals,... More

If you like to be immersed in nature, go here. The lodge is extremely comfortable, located in the jungle, lots of birds, bats, monkeys on the trail nearby. Rooms are basic and rustic but large, clean and comfortable, The meals are outstanding as is the service here.

Wow, was this spot beautiful. You're kind of in the middle of nowhere (we stopped here on the way out of Drake Bay) but if you just want to relax and hang out in a gorgeous place (in the heat!) ... amazing. Carlos was a perfect host and a fantastic cook (we had all three meals here, in the open-air... More

All around, the very best place to experience all the peninsula has to offer minus the tourism. This was by far the highlight of our stay. When we think back, this is what we remember most... drinking up the aliveness of quiet and nature. Our host was a wonderful man who spent much time crafting such a special place. Hospitality...
